LOL, I did not do the install but Sebastian at Specialty Z said it was not easy because of the intercooler. You should not have that issue since you are not boosted. Also, depending on the mounting location it could influence the cooling of the radiator but it shouldn't be to terribly more than a 34 row cooler.

Semi-back on topic: curious why I have seen so little about the AAM intake given larger internal diameter and from what I seen, no need to modify bar to install. Am I missing something? Z1 and Stillen both have smaller diameter, and restrictions at the MAF point. Gotta be something I don't know

Not to hard to understand....the cost to horsepower gain is not there. Good results if you are boosted and have a buit motor.

Right. Appears you think I was referencing the intake itself. My bad. I meant the AAM CAI. Figured the myriad of comparison and measurement points would have clarified that so I didn't explicitly state it. So... try this again

Wht so little on the AAM CAI when it has more benefit in size and design than still an or Z1 CAI?

It's still hasn't been proven that the larger diameter intake pipes benefit the car. If it's not having breathing issues with 2.5", 2.75" will only reduce velocity. Also the filter design of the velocity stack upgrade is really beneficial pulling air in. It's hard to find side by side data against 2.5, 2.75, and 3".

LOL, it really isn't much different than what you see with the manifold that I wrongly spoke about. It is about air flow.....velocity and scavenging. It is the same reason there are no gains and possible loss of power with a 3" exhaust on a NA z. Bigger isn't always better!
