^^ interesting.

I ran mine under the sway bar because the bar twists, it does not go up and down for the most part. And my line runs right next to the mounting point to the frame, so it wont move up or down in that area.

Did this on saturday, I used to get 220-230 on the way home everyday and it was only a 8 mile drive. I was afraid if i wanted to cruise for 20+ miles i'd be way up there so i went ahead and did this.

Yup...If the lines are run close to the pivot there is little movement. I just pulled my cooler off yesterday and noticed no issues with the lines. Temps went up 20 degrees to 220 on my drive after..

Does my Modshack-sense detect a pending sale of said oil cooler kit?

Hey modshack

Do you know if the Stillen package (including the other cooler packages) use the same hose routing as yours? I don't envision the SS braided lines can be routed in the hole per Vipor's thread.

Thanks

No idea if the hose lengths allow that or not. Plus some use AN8 lines which are smaller and can be routed as Vipor did. The larger AN10 lines may not fit..

First I gotta say thanks Modshack

And then thanks to all the other input on this thread that helped me put together what I think is a rock solid install.

Decided to go with the stainless steel lines even though the assembly is a little tougher it makes for a lot of piece of mind. Routed the lines over the sway bar and to the driver side. This was done using one 90 fitting and one 45 deg, which allowed the lines to easily clear the sway bar. I didn't like the idea of the lines being that low on the car (crappy roads here).

Results, ECR track day and temps never got above 230.

This is opposed to my first track day being cut short with 280 deg temps.

Hopes this helps any others attempting this install.

I dont even have my 370 yet, but am likely going to do this mod. Was wondering if you used the same mock bracket up top as at the bottom and is there a place to mount the top, such as the lower composite piece used?....and does this mounting setup leave a space between the oil cooler and the rad, or do they touch, in which case I would need some rubber in between?

Thanks!!

Rob

How did this hold up? I think I would like to route my lines the same way. I am worried about the fittings being below the pan.

Where did u get the 45 degree fitting from? I couldn't find it on the whole sale racing website except for the titanium kind. Also, is that a custom bracket holding the oil cooler?

Just want everyone to know that it is more expensive to buy these kits bit by bit when racerpartswholesale.com sells the kit with all those pieces listed at around 40 bucks cheaper.

Here's the link www.racerpartswholesale.com - Oil Cooler Kits

It's 249.95 for the complete kit. Even less if you opt out for the thermostatic sandwich plate.

FYI - The "MOC-SP1FT Mocal Sandwich Plate- 20mm Thread" has a 1" nut and requires a deep socket (depth is 1 1/8" or greater) but a Outer diameter of 1.41" is too large (i.e. thick walled impact socket), but 1.33" OD will work. Not sure the maximum OD other than it's between those values.

You can fit an adjustable wrench in but it's easier to install with a socket.

Pulled it out here recently to swap out the Aeroquip socketless hose after a friends setup blew off the line and mine was uncomfortably pulling away (~2mm gap). BTW he had plenty of slack and had daily driven the car for a month, but it didn't pop off till a track day.
