Another happy user of Adams products. Agreed that price wise they are not bad at all, especially for what you get. With the Z you start with a car with soft paint that is very prone to scratching and having swirls.

Their quick detailing wax sprays are also quite useful, and can be used for many applications and the VRT is one of the best products in its class, I have used it with fantastic results on many high end cars, including 911's and AMG's.

While I get the idea of not stupidly spending money, with cleaning products, you get what you pay for, and if you take care of your car the right way I would argue that 1. you have a much better looking Z, 2. you will easily recover the money once you sell the car and it presents better than anything else.

Can't stress this enough! There are other products on the market that are half the cost and perform just as good, if not better.

Ok back on topic: Adams H20 Guard and Gloss

First things first it was hot... really hot. Temps in Temecula, CA got close to triple digits today so take this review with a grain of salt.

H2O GNG is not detail spray, and it's not spray wax. It's something totally different.

Direction for use is to normal wash and do not dry. 2 microfiber towels are needed one completely damp and one dry. One panel at a time spray product on and wipe with damp cloth then buff with dry cloth. Make sure to shake well as this product when sitting over time does separate.

I don't know what the deal was but I found myself wiping with the damp cloth over and over to get product to shine free of spots. A lot more work than the detail spray for sure so be ready for that. Given the temps I found that the most effective way to apply and remove was to keep the towels moving.

Wipe product with wet then immediately wipe clean with dry. Shine looks like fresh wax was applied for sure, but giving the H2O guard and gloss a B for now based on the effort.

Interesting. So that's it? Just wash the car and then "dry" it with the H20 GNG?

Sounds like a nice idea, but obviously the effort is a little much in those temps. Interested to see how the application is in cooler weather. A helper coming behind with the dry towel to buff immediately sounds like it would make things a lot easier in the extreme heat.

Another friendly tip on the H2O G&G is that less is more. A little bit goes a long way! My favorite trick is that once you dampen the towel and spray the H2O G&G very lightly then wipe on, follow it up with the dry towel. Cooler temps are definitely a plus on this one!

Yep, or better products for slightly more or the same cost. I've ditched adams years ago.

Yawn...

People make choices, choices make people. Here’s a thought. Try Adams, like it, buy it. Try everything and anything else, like it, buy it.

Try it buy it, read that someone found the exact product under a different name cheaper. Took their advice and saved some money.

Default Adam's Polishes: Mini Product Review

Alrighty then back to it...

Following products used over the past couple days:
Strip wash
Visco Clay bar with geometric tool
Correcting polish + orange pad
Finishing polish + white pad
(Used with Porter Cable Orbiting Polisher)

Yet to come:
Ceramic Paint Coating

First off strip wash (citrusy smell) worked very well (foam cannon and 2 bucket method with craftsman power washer) after the wash rinse and dry (Adams Drying Towel) the paint felt pretty naked. When running my hand across the finish you could easily tell there was no wax or grease of any kind. Grade A

Second time around with the Visco Clay and geometric tool for me. This time I doubled up the clay bar (2 pack) and this worked extremely well. With having the extra clay I found that the tool and surface covered was more efficient and larger in between stretches. Grade A

Next step one was correcting polish with Adams orange foam pad. I will say that if I was going to do it again I would have ordered the microfiber cutting pad to get the really deep stuff but this go round I was satisfied with the performance. Most swirls came out with 1 cross hatch pass on each panel. And did the hood twice for good measure. The orange correcting polish is pretty thick and remove-ability was fairly good but took some elbow grease and some additional detail spray. Also as a disclaimer it was about 97 degrees with a bit of a Santa Ana wind so interpret how you like. Grade B+

Last white finishing polish with white pad. Easy one here on like butter and off like detail spray. No problem whatsoever getting rid of that haze left by the correcting polish and produced a wet mirror finish for sure. A+ (weather 90 degrees and breezy)

This pic above is in the roof of the Z not perfection but not too shabby

Tomorrow giving the Ceramic Paint Coating a go more feedback then.

Pretty quick process with the paint coating today... Literally.

First the Adams Coating Prep (cleaner) not much to say here other than wow this stuff made quick work of any leftovers from the polishing phase. Easy on easy off wiped down the Z in about 15 Minutes took time to make sure and get all the specks and such: Grade A+

Next Adams Paint Coating (Ceramic Coating 7H) one disclaimer you gotta go pretty quick... Weather here today was 60’s and breezy and based on the product video:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=...&v=YeUTBeOSPYU
It rainbows within about 20-30 seconds. Worked in 3/3 sections and wiped off immediately when reaction occurred. Used 1 applicator and one single soft towel (yes just throw the towel and the applicator away and don’t look back, after 30 Minutes the towel was already getting crunchy)for the whole vehicle. As stated in the vid finish is tacky after application. Currently waiting the 24 hours to hit it with the Ceramic Boost. Based on the timing/technique needed for this product and sans first wash etc: Grade B+
