SPL Is definitely better, but the picture you posted indicates that the SPC arms were not installed properly. The adjustment section is supposed to be as close to center of the run as possible. As they look right now, that could have been part of the reason for failure.... slightly too far to the end of the run on one side. Might be minor, but it could have been a factor...
