That's right, Michelan finally released the PSS in stock NISMO size. It took my local discount tire 3 weeks but they finally got them in. Just had them mounted and so far the tires are far better than the stock advan's. Can't wait to break them in so I really start having some fun.

So for those with NISMO wanting the PSS, you can finally get them in stock size or for those sport Z owners wanting 285's you can get them now too.

Good tire for a DD. since I don't care about tread life, I'll stick with the Invo's.

at this guy who still thinks his Invo's are better then the PSS.....Invo's are about 10 steps below the PSS's. They're Hankook V12's level at best.

I used to run Falken Azenis K series for my 350z and they are a great tire if you dont care about tread life. I had 265/35/18 F and 315/30/18 R. Might want to look into those if you really want to have some fun

Michelin has a lot of people drinking their special juice...and it is currently leaving a bad aftertaste in my mouth...It is like Budweiser, terrible beer, but people who drink it love it becuase they are told it is great... these are not performance tires IMO. WORST 1200 bucks I ever spent in my LIFE...cannot wait till this crap is wore out. They paid off a lot of people, and we the consumer have paid for it... these tires perform in the 600-700 dollar level...PLEASE do not submit to all the propaganda!

interested in which tires you are comparing them to. If you thought you were going to go out on the track and run laps or autocross and be competitive then you sir, are a fool. They are a STREET tire. They can be used to track but not competitively. No one buys PSS's to compete on lol.

Monsters of Grip: Nine Summer-Performance Tires Tested Comparison Tests - Page 10 - Car and Driver

Perhaps the slightly rounder/fatter sidewall doesn't fit your driving style or what you deem the most important. I think the stiffer sidewall tires can give the illusion of faster cornering, and that may be true on a perfectly flat surface, but that's not necessarily true on uneven street surface?

And "very close to stock" alignment....a hair bit amount of toe change can hugely affect handling (I thought lowering also affect toe?).

I also wonder if stiffer spring magnifies the softer sidewall too (more compression force acting on the tire hence more sidewall flex maybe?)

Update. I've had the tires on a week now and hands down they are better than the stock advans that come on the NISMO. I have no problem with feedback, steering sensitivity, or response. They are far sticker than the stockers for sure. I don't notice any rolling of the sidewall on aggressive turns either. They are also much quieter, smoother, and absorb a little more of the road bumps compared to the advans. Overall I'm happy with them. I think in order for me to be 100% happy with the traction of the car I will have to get a true LSD to replace the crap VLSD that comes on the car.

RE-11's are a good option and honestly what I was going to go for but the front tires are not rated (with regard to weight) for the NISMO. I tried multiple tire places and they all said they wouldn't be able to mount them for me. Why Nissan rated the front of the NISMO heavier than the regular 370z I'll never know. I could have just lied and said I had a regular 370z that I added a body kit to but wasn't worth the hassle since I could get the PSS

Will be hitting up the next auto-x in 2 weeks and will report back then.

Its called business, if Michelin and Ferrari make a business deal, of course its the best tire... illusion on not, I cannot liked going around a corner and having sidewall flex, they do flex, maybe its the 40 series sidewall is too high, but again I will reiterate, the bridgestones did not have this issue. The grip is fine, the ride is fine, the steering response is not good, and they are not as stable as the stones, that's just fact...haven't driven on the advans, so I do not know. If i go into a corner hard at speed, and turn it, I can feel the sidewalls flexing, I am not trying to insult anyone, maybe some people do not know what that feels like or are ignorant to it...again I do not know, this is my second set by the way, had the first set swapped out after 500 miles... they only thing different on my alignment is front camber is slightly more than factory due to being lowered on swifts, all else is within in factory spec, like I said the only thing that changed on my car was the tires, suspension and alignment stayed the same, the toe will impact the highwa stability at large, thats why they run a slight toe in from the factory. IMO it is just not how this expensive of a tire should perform.

I've ridden in numerous cars with the pilot super sports and have had nothing but great things to say about them. Granted they're not the stickiest, but they perform very well for an all around ultra summer tire. There wasn't a single bit of road noise and they handled better than the Hankook Evos, Yokohama S. Drives and Falken 452 IMO, compared to a $700 - $800 that you mentioned (even though they're double that and they should handle better). A great daily driven tire for sure. Might not be the best option for auto-crossing / road racing / dragging, but who wants to only get 6 - 10k miles out of a set of tires with ultra soft compound if it's a daily?

This is coming from someone who has had all three sets of other tires. I do see the difference in performance compared to the more affordable options.

I only drive on the street, no racing, when you read over and over agian how great these are, and review after review that calls them the benchmark...NO WAY. I just recently switched from stock fronts and s-04 pole positions in the back.. These tires were a downgrade in over all performance, the compound is a tad sticker that the bridgestones, thats where the advantages end. These tires roll like a pig in mud around a hard coner, the bridgestones did not, and JHC the steering response is just crap, I should not be able to turn my steering wheel 3-4 inches either direction with not repsonse from the tire...THIS IS A PERFORMANCE TIRE or so it is labeled, big deal that it is quite and rides nice...we are not driving mercedes...my kdw's on my 350 were just as good, and the v12s are only marginally worse and I HATE those pos tires....had some toyo proxes which I did not like, I would say they are about the same...I also work at a car delaership, and have driven on so many different tires...hell I sell Michelins, they are great options for most of my customers...what I have been learning is this is a good tire if you just have a 370z and do not really push it as I do, but save your money next time and go with something cheaper IMO.

I would have loved to have driven your car when you had the PSS on, Joe. That sounds insane (not you, just the overall feel you had from the tires.) I have nothing but good things to say about the sets I have run and I have driven on many different compounds.
