MICHELIN Pilot Super Sport tires ?

Dude chill, there is good reason if you are going drag the car, burn outs are needed for real sticky tires!!! I think you might want to read a little more on all of this as it relate to the Z. It's a different beast than many sports cars.....

I've had Super Sports on my car for about a month now and the tires are simply amazing. They make slightly more road noise than I anticipated/hoped but it's still way quieter than my OEM RE050's. They also grip for days and haven't had any issues in rain thus far either. I'm sold on these tires, I'll stick with them until they make something better!

So a local guy is selling his brand new never mount Bridgestone S-04s for cheap in 265/35/19 and 305/30/19.

Someone talk me out of saving money and sticking with pss's. I never drove on s-04's so I have no basis for comparison.

They're good tires. If the PSS and RE11 are #1A and #1B, the SO4 is #2.

I mean is it close enough where $700 for these S-04s or $1600 for my pss's also these bridgestones are shorter than the pss's I am ordering. Going oem height but much wider lol

Also I found out 305s fit on sport rears from what I was told lol

For $700 go for it. You'll have a chance to revisit your decision in another 15k miles anyway.

I guess so but does it matter being 5mm shorter? Tire sizes and wheels have never been my specialty.

The sidewall being a 30 vs 35? Isn't that number a ratio that factors in tire width? So, if the tire is wider it may not be any shorter despite the aspect ratio being lower?

This jives with what I know too. The profie is a percentage of tire width.

I'm running S-04's now. I have no complaints but I've not really been able to test them since the majority of their life I'm been breaking in new transmission and clutch. I was running RE760 prior.

Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com

Probably the most important thing to watch is that there cannot be any significant difference between the front and rear tires or you will throw of the VDC. By that I mean you can be a couple of percentage off the stock size but the front and rears must be off by the same amount or the VDC will recognize it as the wheels are turning at different speeds and try and intervene.

35/f and 30/r are the same overall diameter of 26.3

40/35 is 27.4/f and 27.1/r

Yes, the aspect ratio is just that the ratio of sidewall to the section width of the tire. 35 series tires are 35% sidewall in comparison to the overall width. Not an actual measurement of height in mm's

Got my PSS installed today. I shouldn't be as surprised as I was because I've had PSS tires on another car, but damn the whole car rides and feels different. I Love these tires.
