This is the last time I am going to respond to any post you make on this subject:

Showing the timing advance that the engine achieved does not give anything away about a tune. ANYONE CAN ADD TIMING. There is no magic.

Here's a dyno chart showing a 21HP gain using UpRev. JUST A TUNE.

Here is the source post for this chart.

How does ECUTek do anything different, if clearly UpRev can do the same thing, if all we need to see is the chart to know for certain?

You're acting like seeing a dyno chart is all you need to see to know that this is clearly superior to UpRev and it's totally due to timing changes.... That's BS. A timing/RPM trace will prove that they're able to do more with timing than UpRev can, a dyno chart with no other data proves nothing.

Thanks.

there isnt any magic in tuning .. hehe
it just take some time to find the good receipe, as long as you somewhat know what you are doing, NA tuning is easy.

but if someone who doesnt have enough experience with the program , it can be quite expensive to do it youself on the dyno.

its why most peoples will just pay the tuner to do it

I for one agree with shovelman, atleast as far as seeing an unbiased apples to apples comparison to Uprev. Considering I just spent good money on the Uprev license and dyno time I need to know if there's really enough power/torque to be had to justify spending switching from Uprev to ECUtek.

I could care less about the timing logs. Just show me dyno charts for the same car with Uprev tuning and then ECUtek tuning. Anything less than 5hp and I just can't see spending the extra money. If it's 10+hp then I might be switching.
XwChriswX, Rusty and faya like this.

For 10+ I dont think I would even bother. The UPREV tunes are around $450 ish and the ECUtek are $600+?

If you read my other thread you'll understand that EcuTek's ProECU offers more then just tuning.

What important to understand is that using EcuTek's RaceRom offers control to the Ecu that has never been seen before. Because of this control you will have consistent power.

Thanks

One more question: Will Ecutek have control over the 7AT shift schedule tables?

The ECM doesn't control the shift points, but the Requested Torque signal the engine ECU sends to the TCM can be adjusted.

I've adjusted this before on a GTM setup so I'm aware what needs to be done

Hey John,

I just bought a 370z, I can't PM you since I just joined the forum, still no access.

Are you able to tune the 2014 MY 370z?

I live in Westport, actually I've met you a few times before we know a mutual friend named Peter.

Look forward to hearing from you.
