Default its possible that a car get better results in a mustandgyne than a dynojet???!!!

I was in a mustangdyne today and my carr leaves the dyno with 286whp and then in the night goes to a dynojet to see the difference and in the dynojet the Z gives 279whp wtffff I am very frustrated!!!! Can you guys please tell me why that could happens?

... Did it get 500 times more humid?
We're there any other differences?

If at the dynojet you didn't have any fans, the engine could've pulled timing... I don't know how much it retards it and how much power you'd lose

They dont have any fans in the dynojet but in the mustang they have 2

It's really hard to compare results between two dynos. It really depends on how they've got the dyno set up. There's a lot of settings that can be tweaked between different types of dynos, or even two of the same type. Don't get too worked up over the 7 whp difference between the two. That's a 2% variance. The fans might have cost you 7 whp as well. Personally, I'd pick one shop to do all the dyno runs and stick with it. It's still going to have some variance, but not what you would see switching from one to another.

But normally a dynojet have a difference of 10-12% of mustangyno....im frudtrated because I have some mods on my ride and I have seen many guys here with mods like me and they got 320 whp in a dynojet

320 whp on A dynojet, or THAT dynojet? Again, it all depends on how the dyno's set up. You're correct in that dynojets usually read higher than mustangs, but one or both of the dynos you used may be calibrated differently from the norm. Don't sweat it too much. The number doesn't really mean too much. Stick to one specific dyno, and look at the changes before and after mods. Or, take it to the track. Trap speeds don't lie.

Dynojet dyno's don't have calibrations outside of SAE and STD correction which is prefixed into the dyno and based on the weather. (if they have a weather station connected to the dyno) Other dynos, like mustang, dyno dynamics, land and sea, etc. can be altered by the operator to inflate or deflate numbers. Most unaltered mustang dyno's read lower than dynojets. If I had to guess, the one you went on has been adjusted.

Guys, he said the Mustang dyno had ventilation and the Dynojet didn't. That's all you need to hear.

OP- Any shop running your car on a dyno without proper cooling fans in place probably isn't a shop you should be doing business with. Putting your car under that kind of load without ample cooling fans being present can be very bad for the engine. Coolant temps can sky rocket with just the tiny (comparatively) on-board fans to pull air through the radiator.

They (the on-board fans) are intended to keep the car cool at idle, sitting in traffic, and to augment the normal airflow through the bumper at speed, not to cool the car under 100% load while standing still.

Also on top of not having fans other determining factors: oil temp (as said car can be pulling timing), altitude, humidity, ambient temp, those are a few and popular factors tjat can and will effect a car. For example I live 50 miles from work but according to my gps my work site is 60ft below sea level and my apartment location is 1700ft above sea level. That will make a difference. Hope this helps.

Yes.

Mustang dynos, and all load holding dynos, can be tweaked to read either high or low (or nearly the same) relative to dynojets.

Throw in different ambient/transient conditions, correction factors, etc. -- yes, absolutely.

I don't think I'd ever call them slow. can they compete with a challenger with 470hp racing from 70-120 or a camaro SS, probably not, but 0-60 stock 370z against those is still a close race and not losing by much at all. in my opinion at least.

You ran your car on a dyno at about 120+MPH without any fans... Your car is not a pussy, you just shouldn't drive one if you have not a clue how cars work, or you're ok with dynoing your car without ventilation...
