flat spotted tires to the rear

When I was bedding my pads, I made the mistake of flat spotting the 20% worn R-S3 extremely bad. The flat spots are nearly undriveable as the steering just shakes and vibrates. Since they are so new, I am hoping to get another 2000 miles on it. Would rotating them to the rear something that is worth doing or should I just cut my losses and buy new ones.

Simply shifts the vibration to the rear axle - you will definitely notice it ..... cut your losses (and leave ABS on when bedding pads perhaps ??)

If you're in a warm area and you start driving it, wouldn't it go away once they get hot enough. Try that before you go full replacement. That's if you need to max out (use for 2k as planned).

You flat spotted them because you slammed on your brakes?

You don't bed pads like that...

And you're screwed, you can't get rid of it unless you shave your tires

I accidently disabled the ABS without remembering. By the time I realize it and lifted, the two poor tires already have giant flat spots on them (I CAN SEE IT as they are different shades). I don't know if putting the vibration in the rear is tolerable, or I should just buy two new tires.

If the flat spot has left "some" tread above the tread bars, you "might" get use out of them by buffing or shaving the tread down to the flat-spot - maybe not all the way, BUT perhaps to within a mm or so. Depends how bad the bruise actually is. If the bruise is down to tread depth limit, the tyres are toast ....

I was about to say maybe even just spin them a little bit might even get rid of flat spot.

Issue is that they are on the front. I guess I can put another set in the front and just burn them up
