I can understand your position as well.
I have no interest at all in turning my Z into a drag car. However, I am willing to spend a hour or two and $1000 into parts to make it so when I do wish to occasionally drag race my car, I can actually see what it is capable of. Not only for my own satisfaction... but now when people ask what the car can do in the 1/4, I will be able to give them a straight forward answer. No more pulling out the excuse list and making them roll their eyes at me. I am not sure why you guys consider wheels and tires to be serious modifications. It is actually quite the norm for drag racing. If you spend a day at the track, you will see far more cars on tires like my 28's, than you will on 19" volks or works LOL |
