If you had done your research, it would have told you that a switch is your best option. There are quite a few guys on this forum that have posted their experiences with this. None have posted problems with the ECU. The fact that your research led you to believe some bs spouted off by some dude who doesn't even own a Z is telling. It tells me your research was sorely lacking in substance.

I'm simply trying to dig deeper to find stuff I may have no come across, which I did.

I've found all of the links you posted and that's why I was saying lack of research.

Someone tipped me that nismo was making a device to that would take the VDC 100% without having to do this switch thing.

it sounded great and I was trying to fish for someone that may know about this.

Thanks
If you are meaning Nissan MotorSports making a device for the VDC. I would of have it by now. They make very few things for the 370.

could you take a pic of how you did it? how the cables are put together into the switch?

thanks!
I thought i sent pics on another thread....let me dig it back up....Just remember that the switch is normally on (contacts closed) for normal operation & you can turn your traction control button on & off.....but when you open the circuit on the Yaw sensor (contacts open/or switch off) a solid illuminated icon of a car skidding will appear on dash & will remain there until you turn switch back on (contacts closed) and turn car off & re-start.

Yes, mine is a 20-22ga. Green wire; I used 14ga.red from power source & orange back to the sensor side.
3rd prong on switch is for a ground/ but that would cause switch to stay illuminated all the time, unless I kept it in drift mode.
Also moved my hazard switch to rt. Side of. Console.
Hopefully you'll figure it out; cause doughnuts etc...no issues at all.

Well, that made NO sense.
If research done = switch best
If found possible solution and came to ask here = NOT PART OF THE RESEARCH?

Yes, that device is what I was talking about.
I don't know what I don't know. I've only owned my 370Z for 3 weeks.

I've barely had time to play with it cuz of work.
I don't understand why people get so offended when someone in the community doesn't know something that to them it's obvious because they've known this for a while. AT SOME POINT, YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS.

If I'm going to get attacked on DUMB grounds, I don't care who you are. I'm black listing you.
If I get attacked with reason and I understand I mess up, then I own up to it and be thankful for the correction.

Behavior like that shouldn't be allowed. But what do I know.

Thank you.

Thanks so much for sharing!
Unfortunately I've decided to unhook the VDC from the yaw sensor switch instead of making a switch because I'm WELDING THE DIFFERENTIAL and there's no point on keeping the VDC at this point.

Just in case you're wondering, I've changed my mind recently when I found out that the VLSD is actually not as steady as one would think for drifting, thus giving me no option but to weld it. In previous research I had been informed the VLSD would be enough for drifting. Bad info.

Thank you!

Tenfo,
btw;mine is a Quaife ATB Helical locker.....I haven't had an issue with one tire out-spinning the other.
At nearly 0* rear camber=perfectly even tire wear on both rear's.

You came in here claiming you did all your research. I was just pointing out it was clear from your posts you didn't

Also, you never made any mention of a Nissan Motorsports device in your OP. How are we supposed to know that you think you found a possible solution when you never even mention it? Not to mention what made you think it was a possible solution? There is no such device.

Then I'm guessing that English is not your native tongue. Not usually a problem - we have many ESL people on here that seem to be able to communicate effectively and don't get bent out of shape when they have to make an extra effort to explain things.

Not exactly. According to those who have made the mod and reported the results on this site, it is the best option for them. If you had done your research, you would have found that out.

A knowledgeable member with a good rep has already claimed that the device does not exist - at least not from Nissan. Unless someone can come up with some credible evidence that the device exists (a post from some guy on The Intertubes is suspect in my book), I'm willing to accept the claim.

Talking

OK makugx, some things you don't know.

1. There is no spider gears to weld in the VLSD. Where the spider gears would be. Is a sealed unit with silicone fluid inside. When the fluid gets hot. It applies pressure to a set of plates to lock the diff. The problem is overheating, then it goes to sh!t.

2. With the yaw sensor in place. VDC on. When going through a turn. If the rear starts to step out. The VDC WILL apply a rear caliper brake through the ABS to straighten the car out. First time it did it to me. It scared the crap out of me and a driving instructor. With the VDC off. It WILL still happen to a lesser degree. With the yaw sensor switched off. Nothing will happen.

3. When you type. It sounds very angry and condescending. You might be a great person face to face. But something gets lost in translation.

I would listen and learn from the guys you are seemingly disparaging. They are knowledgeable longstanding members on the Forum and you would do well to learn from their experience as I have.
