HELP! trying to find best way to turn VDC off 100%

Hi

Been doin some research for a few days already and can't find a way to turn off the VDC 100% without messing something up.

Could you please advice if you know anything better than these?

1) cutting a wire for yaw sensor and producing a switch (post found on this site) Also found out that it may bring complications with ECU
2) taking fuse off (thus shutting down, VDC, FAN AND ABS)

Thanks!
Nismo 2010

Installing a switch for the yaw sensor is about as easy as it can get.

There are several threads about disabling VDC on this site. If the site's search isn't working out for you, go to any of the big web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string. Eg, disable VDC site:the370z.com

Thank you.

I"ve edited the post to address your response as I've already gone through the post.

I was told there would be complications with the ECU in the near future, which is why I decided to do it another way.

Curious as to where you saw that post? I've had mine for a few years now and no problems.

All it takes is one guy to **** it up and post about it on the internet, and now people think this is a bad route lol

Switch works for me

mmm it was a guy that supposedly knew this and had done this that I talked to.

I'm just being cautious, but you're a LOT more believable than that guy that didn't even own a z.

could you take a pic of how you did it? how the cables are put together into the switch?

thanks!

Use the link I gave above and you can find several pics, explanations of what's going on, DIYs, etc. The FSM is a great resource that has wiring diagrams, wire colors, connector pinouts, etc (see link in my sig).

I've already looked into several links.
Lack of resources isn't the point of the thread.

Thanks

PS: if you look into some of those threads, I've already posted on it or made it.

You need to look at a few more. The info is there, you just have to expend some effort to find it.

The fact that you asked a question indicates that you are lacking in one of the most valuable resources of all - knowledge.

If that's a shot at SouthArk, he owned a Z for a long time and helped a LOT of members here. He tried to help you, but he made the crucial mistake of expecting you to be able to sort through the information he provided and come up with an answer. Next time we'll know that you need to be spoon-fed the information. Sorry about that, it won't happen again.

Thanks for the kind words.

I don't think his comment was aimed at me but rather at the "guy" he had talked to.

Yeah. I'm a teach-'em-to-fish kind of guy. Not because I'm a nice guy; I just don't want to have to keep answering questions that have already been answered. :driving:

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to attack me outta nowhere for made up reasons.
There's always someone wanting some drama.

I wasn't taking a shot at him.
I understood what he said.
Please go troll somewhere else guy.

There isn't any lack of research, effort or understanding.

I'm simply trying to dig deeper to find stuff I may have no come across, which I did.

I've found all of the links you posted and that's why I was saying lack of research.

Someone tipped me that nismo was making a device to that would take the VDC 100% without having to do this switch thing.

it sounded great and I was trying to fish for someone that may know about this.

Thanks
