Pretty sure all the ones in black did ;)

It's just a hip and trendy thing right now (and the last 10+ years). Look at the Toyota Camry version. I find from what I see on the road is that, its more of a tendency for younger folks to dig the black (or other 2 tone roof options) than older folks. Not always, but generally speaking. So it would appear to me that Nissan is just going after the younger hip trendy folks. Dunno, just my 2 cents.

What kills me about people like you is that you really don't get the issue. The black roof is not the issue. Nissan making it mandatory on the majority of colors is the issue. On a special edition, fine. But on all but 2 color choices? B.S. Wheels can be swapped out. Brake calipers can be swapped or painted. But its very difficult and costly to have a roof painted the exact car color. What's much easier and cheaper is to wrap or paint a roof black if you like it that way. So you like the fact that Nissan is taking options away and forcing things down our throat. Fine. But we don't.

I can see that. So charge me 300 or so to paint the roof black or the color of the majority of the car. At least make a choice out of it. Id like blue and if we did order, its off to a good body shop for a new roof paint job.

I like black but the 370Z was black. Prefer a new color. More to follow after I can get a good test in the future.

Anyway, I think this car is going to look better in person than the pics, posted recently on here. Regarding the black roof, like Jar, I think they look good on some cars. I think it looks good on the seiran blue Z, and would only get that one or the all gunmetal grey. And yes, black roof as an option would have been great, but I understand cost constraints.

Regarding black wheels, not really my thing either, but like the black roof, some cars look good with it

Bottom line is we all have different tastes and likes. I think that’s great, because my car will always look better than 95% of you guys who have no taste! ;):rofl2:

I don't like how it goes all the way down to the hatch. I like the black roofs when they blend into the hatch glass.

What’s up with that strip below the black trim for the roof and above the door and quarter windows? I really hope that is a body color paint with a shadow making it look like that. Cause it looks turribul (read in Charles Barkley voice).

That's the Katana Sword. Their stupid marketing term, not mine.

As I said above, since most colors must have a black roof, the first thing to do to make it look better is black out the Katana sword. Get the windows tinted then it will be all black. The silver sword just looks dumb with the black roof.
