I did a demo drive in one back when I was looking for a RWD sports coupe. Here are my impressions:
1. Handling is good (but really not better than my 370 nismo IMO). 2. Interior is cheap. Actually, everything about the car is cheap. 3. It has back seats. Screw that. ![]() 4. Power is... well, there's no nice way to say it. It's laughably slow. 5. Everything is an option. So by the time you get one kitted out half decently you're into $30k for an economy car with sports car pretentions. ![]() 6. The association. FR-S fanboys are the worst part about owning that car. The reason they keep comparing it to the 370 is they feel the need to justify their purchase in the face of a superior but more expensive option. Kinda reminds me of some Z fanboys ripping the Porsche Cayman, actually. ![]() Buy what you like best and can afford. But don't trash the superior car just because you don't/can't have it.
