Ah mr. JAR, I remember that day too! It was my first time on a track with a manual Z and I struggled with the synchro rev downshifting as I was used to heal and toe. I finally had to turn it off. Missed a few braking points and almost tore out the transmission at one point!

When we got in the GT-R's I was back at home banging downshifts with the paddles like a pro.

To each his own. I've just never been a fan of the clutch on the G37/Z after spending decades in Hondas and Acuras.

Sadly, it looks like there won't be any manual trans options in a few years.


Definitely both are skills to hone.
