Finally catalogued my mileage in a spreadsheet. I'm usually better at that with a new car but was careful to annotate my odo on the receipts. I'm averaging a fill up every 4-5 days and gas has went up almost a dollar.

Also annotated my major events (maintenance/repairs and yes, did note the CSC failure!) and plotting my first oil change. I was going to plot my washes but decided that would probably be kind of crazy. Plus can't remember the exact date of one of my washes. And then the dealer did a wash after the repair... and I had to spot clean some bird poo a couple days ago without a full wash. :(

Started her up this morning and didn't get that tingly feeling like I used to. Without the mods, it will be easier to let her go.

I'm still trying to find "the one." I test drove a Juke Nismo and Sentra SR. Sat in a Dodge Dart. I wouldn't mind an Infiniti G37 (lower cost) but the one they had on the lot belonged to a smoker. :shakes head:

I'll be hitting up a Mazda dealership soon and heading back to Nissan to try an Altima.

We have a 2012 Altima. It's nice (though the 2.5 is gutless and that CVT :() and has been problem free (knock on wood). I am thinking a Mazda 6 might be nice.

:iagree: Maybe even a 3. We will be a small family and I prefer compacts.

I really enjoyed my mazda 6. Was a nice car and problem free the whole time I had it.

My wife and I love our 2014 3 igt. The seat lifts up really high too.

Had a passenger side door ding repaired (paint-less dent repair). I'm $125 poorer but I feel better now. The pic is what it looked like before, no paint damage, just a dime size ding. I hate people...

Z_ealot 06-05-2015 12:49 AM

Received my plates for the Z yesterday and promptly picked up a stillen license plate bracket today, will be throwing that on as well to add as part of my saturday projects for the Z :)

Z_ealot 06-05-2015 12:57 AM

Forgot to add that i also ordered some dr. Colorchip yesterday as well to fill in all the little knicks in the hood and body from the previous owner :shakes head:

Civic Type r! :icon17:

for a family you're always fighting for more room... speaking from experience travelling with my cousins (one has 2 another has 3 kids)

if budget permits i'd go for a mid-sized sedan like the camry/accord/g37(q50) sized car. The extra space will do wonders for carrying the stroller + diapers + change of clothes + baby food + any other random emergency items + another case of diapers.

mishuko 06-05-2015 07:25 AM

so did the touch up painting to the rock dings... didn't have enough time to clean up the bumper to apply my new sticker.... and supposed to rain this weekend. will have to wait for a sunny evening

I really want a G37 but finding one in my price range without (WORD I CAN'T SPELL) miles is tough. Plus I want to finance through NMAC since I'm already approved.

jpkirk 06-05-2015 09:26 AM

How about a Mazdaspeed 3. They run under $20K for models with 30 to 40K miles.

with 263 bhp (196 kW; 267 PS) and 280 lb·ft (380 N·m) of torque

onzedge 06-05-2015 10:31 AM

Thank you -- just a quick trip to Napa today...

I stopped for gas and saw the balloons. I wish I had my camera with me.

I almost got a Nismo Juke last year, if I had to get rid of my car and needed the space for little peoples I would get one. However I need a truck for my DD, but I still might get one, "for the wife" :)

A little detailing action today.
3M ultrafina SE polish on the hood to remove some light haze from the factory buffing.
Everything topped off with Four star Ultimate Paint Sealant.
Looks like rain, so it sits in the garage looking pretty.

Received my SPL rear camber arms, toe bolts, and Swift springs.

Meeting up with a buddy tomorrow to install these items, plus my new Stillen oil cooler, if time permits.

PSA message

Please avoid trailer hitches left in the middle lanes of a freeway in rush hour or this will happen

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O...0/IMG_0451.jpg

I now will have to order a replacement part for about $200

And end up with a dinged resonator.

All because someone was too fukin careless to ensure they wouldn't loose the hitch off the back of their truck.

Thank You whom ever you are.

I hope you're a$$ runs over a long spike and it empales the oil pan.

End of PSA.

Must be a crappy day for Z drivers to be out....i had a pickup truck near on trying to run me over while i was doing the speed limit, as soon as he could get around me i got a nice big middle finger

Zerocool 06-05-2015 09:10 PM

Anybody want to give me a hand in deciding whether to go for springs or coils.

I only plan on lowering my car and inch 1.2 inches at MAX.

some say...go with coils since the springs are built to perform with the shocks. Suspension can fail after a while from the use of aftermarket springs etc. yada yada yada.
