not bad! did you do it yoruself? Took me just under 4 hours to do with a friend... mind you taking the front facia off was the hardest part!

Yes! all by myself :icon17: If I had to install these again, I'm sure I can do it much faster!

Try having your car as low as mine and not have access to a low profile jack. :rofl2: The regular jacks just don't fit under my car with the amuse (rep) side skirt, thus I had to remove the side skirt first before I can actually jack up the car to start removing the front bumper. It doesn't help that these side skirts have like 10 bolts and screws that needs to be undone so its very time consuming.
Plus I didn't have the correct rotary tool for this job so making the vents larger to fit the pipes took longer than it should have.
Instead of cutting I had to grind the air vents, which led to friction that caused heat that melted the plastic. I had to remove the plastic residue off the rotary tool every 30 seconds :shakes head:
The stock bumper at stock ride height I'm sure I can take it off in 10 mins :p

trying to bend the liners without breaking them / not knowing how flexible they were plus little mechanical experience was my biggest road block

and then the couplings that came with the g3's were a bit tight and difficult so i decided to use the OEM ones with no problem :bowrofl:

4 hours is probably a bit generous. more like 3... started after 9 and was done by 12 when i did it lol

Sounds like you need to invest in a low profile jack :rofl2:

Do you really have to lift the car to do the install? I know you can remove the OEM front bumper without lifting the car.

You have OEM front bumper I thought ... so no excuses lol

Yeah I'm always wasting time somehow or another. 30 min jobs turn into an hour easy :icon17:

Made a reservation at Fontana Village for ZDayZ 2016. Except there are no cabins or lodge rooms available. I am on a wait list for both. Thought I would at least be able to book a lodge room :ugh:

Home on a Monday and the sun finally came out. Took the Z for a quick spin. Also took off the wheels and cleaned the inside. Been meaning to do that for awhile. They look much better!

Waiz 06-01-2015 03:54 PM

Finally got my new car cover in, now I can finally wash my Z after the 3 weeks it's been sitting

http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...2.jpg~original

We're under strict water restrictions in SoCal so we have to be really careful with our water usage :(

See how far you can turn that bitch clockwise, and then tighten it like that. Super-custom, yo!

I think I found a cure for the P0456 code that always came on when the tank was between 1/4 to 1/2 full. I dabbed a little silicone lube on the gas cap threads and it hasn't came on since the last two tank fulls. The lube lets me tighten the cap just a tiny bit more which seems to do the trick.

Zerocool 06-01-2015 09:23 PM

Got another rock chip =[

Guess, it's time to respray the hood and bumper this fall. Pretty sure my premium would go up if I call about the paint being damaged.

That sounds like faulty gas cap. Make the dealer replace it. Should be a warrenty fix. Specially since you have already identified the problem.

BC416 06-02-2015 08:55 AM

Oil change yesterday. Switched over to fully synthetic. Waiting for rain to go away so I can get a nice wash in.

I added that thing too but when screwed on all the way the etched shift pattern is upside down. My new thing feels good but it sure gets hot.

just loctite it at the position u like and it wont spin.

Yea, what Ken said. Mine was tight enough around the threads that it sits perfectly fine without locktite.

b15 06-02-2015 02:21 PM

Thinking about getting the front Eibach sway bar. Seems like most here like the Eibach front/oem rear combination.

First, I received confirmation that I have a lodge room reserved for Sun-Sun for ZDayZ next year. Now I just have to call them back to make sure I'm still on the list in case a cabin comes available :)

Second, I currently have a FI CF exhaust in the trunk of my car (borrowing Mom's Mercury Milan). Install tonight :happydance:

Fast Intentions exhaust with 18" resonators and CF cans polished and installed. Fitment is absolutely perfect, although truth be told I'm OCD and the passenger side could come down about a mm. Exhaust note is vastly improved. Why didn't I do this 67K miles ago?!?!? :icon17:

Looks like I will have to leave the tag below my screen name there for a while longer :tiphat:

Sorry for the dirty exhaust. You still owe me $50. :icon17:

Seriously though, I'm just happy to know it's going to a good friend and someone who will enjoy it and take care of it. Thanks for helping me and kiddo.

She cleaned up beautifully :yum: Although I would appreciate any input on how best to clean and treat the CF cans :tiphat:

Crap! I had cash or I could have bought your lunch lol ... oh well it's a good excuse to get together again sometime when you have the new car

:tiphat: I forsee terrible gas mileage for the next few weeks :icon17: The worst part is I have a 5 am flight tomorrow morning and won't even be able to drive it until Friday
