Xpel Ultimate applied to full hood today. Really pleased. Full bumper was done 16 months ago.:tiphat:

Put nearly 450 miles on a single tank of gas. And that was averaging probably 85-90 mph for most of those miles (85 mph speed limit for a good portion) :driving:

My Z1 400 hp kit with tune seems to have lowered my mpg to about 25 with easy driving. :icon14:

I used to be able to get 30-32. Oh well...:driving:

Yeah, I can get 30s easy when there's some traffic and not wide open 85 mph toll road like today :icon17:

I started regularly hitting the 30 mpg mark on highway trips after my Ecutek tune. Other than that and intakes, I am still stock. But I would take 400 crank hp and worse mileage any day ;)

After seeing the 2015 Nismo lights in person last week, I got sick of seeing my chrome lights.

Both headlights are currently apart and the housing painted and waiting for them to dry :). Baking $1400 worth of headlights is definitely for the faint of heart, but luckily no issues.

Can't wait to see them back together and on the car!

madwi 05-01-2015 02:25 PM

Gave the Z a bath. Had to go out for a cruise afterwards.

Fuji front bumper is on my radar too.

b15 05-01-2015 04:49 PM

Done! Just waiting for the sealant to dry, then will run another bead over the outside joints just to be sure. Time consuming, but overall easier than I thought.

Here's a look at Stillens brake cooling ducts as installed on my OEM fascia.

I don't have cooling data yet as I was rained out Friday. I expect 100-150 degrees cooler at High a Plains Raceway denver.

I also put on the Z1 400 hp kit. My but dyno says ??? But the ship dyno had me at 318 whp

There's more to it than that but hard to get pictures. At least no more CELs from my leaky Berk HFCs!!!! The test pipes sound good too.

Memphis370Z 05-02-2015 03:59 PM

Picked up 2 one gallon bottles of Griot's Speed Shine for $8.00 a piece!

Also, finally removed the dealer's stupid emblem from the rear of my car. Looks so much better.

Yep! If they would have had more, I would have bought them, but they only had two. For some reason Advance Auto Parts had them on their clearance table.

Started a clay process but changed my mind partway in. Ugh.
If i look too close I see too many flaws still from the body work that I get upset.
Did a quick spray wax and worked in yard...my husband doesnt get it. Onzedge talked me down a bit. Not happy. Who wants a blackcherry Z?

jpkirk 05-02-2015 07:29 PM

Detail then :driving:

Pintsize725 05-02-2015 07:56 PM

Hubby gave it a quick wash and wipe down. I took pictures of all the parts I still need buyers for.

I know everyone has seen a Stillen intake, Z1 hood struts and ONEighty lights, but look at these quick and dirty cell phone shots of my mods anyway:

I took a shortcut on the way to my mother-in-laws house and led a parade. LOL. I noticed that the road was blocked off at all the intersections and looked in the rear view, and saw the parade behind me. The best part was the cops at all the intersection waved, and I waved back like I was supposed to be there.:hello: Thank god the car was clean!

tungmac 05-03-2015 06:52 PM

Just installed the Tanabe Z40 coilover (thanks tu_clean!)

Here's a pic of my drop on them. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...bdc6e7f370.jpg

Installed the Z1 2 piece rotors and Carbotech XP8's all around. Got the pads bedded in and parked it for the wife's honey do list. Gotta keep the wife happy. My smiles will come at the Tail of the Dragon real soon.

Found a stinking nail in my right rear. Gotta get that fixed tomorrow.

Reattached my Halo

3 Attachment(s)
It took me 2 hrs 30 mins but I managed to open my headlights & reattach my passenger side halo LED.

Not a fun experience since it was my first attempt utilizing the heatgun method and would like to avoid doing this again as much as possible :ugh:

Hopefully I applied enough sealant to prevent any condensation :eekdance:

kenchan 05-04-2015 12:03 AM

wow, that's a lot of work for something you cant even see while driving.. :ugh: ;) jk, GJ!
