Not sure how they did it but they said it was no problem, they have also done front bumper for others also that do not own a Nismo.
They eBay'd one, lol

You don't need a Nismo VIN to buy Nismo parts. I have a full front bumper conversion and never had to submit a VIN.

tjlazer probably has the best journal on the conversion.

I've seen the Powerhouse Amuse bodykit, but I've always wondered something about it... Photos I've seen, seem to indicate it's lower than the NISMO's. Maybe that's because the car photo's I've seen, are also lowered vehicles.

Just out of curiosity: if the Z isn't lowered, how low is the lowest part of that body kit from the ground?

I have the Nismo front conversion on my Z and had it done at the dealer. They didn't try matching a VIN or anything that I know of.

Also, buy the Zspeed Nismo under tray and save a few bucks there.

I want that F1 rear light on my Nismo. Does anyone know the process or how to get one and install it? Love that thing!

As far as I'm concern, the front is the part that you should be concerned most about height wise. The front end is the area that gets abused the most from bums and dips in the road, driveway, ramps and so on.

Anyhoo, for your amusement and to fill your curiosity, I just went out and crawled around in my driveways trying my best to take come measurement/pictures for you. It was hard to take a level shot to get an accurate picture of the measurement but you get the idea. It's hard doing it alone.

front bumper just to show that it start out high then tapers down as it goes towards the rear

front bumper/lip it starts to taper around 6 3/8''

lowest part of the undershroud about 1' and a little more in form the front lip

left driver side of the bumper in front of the wheel well

left side rocker to show the profile

left rocker behind the left front tire

left rocker in front of rear tire

rear left bumper

muffler

better muffler measurement shot

exhaust pipe connecting to the muffler ( you can see it in the pic above and how low it sit)

I've found the biggest source of scraping isn't necessarily the height of the front end, but the length of the front end. It is long and it is flat.

If you look at other cars; i.e. a Porsche, they actually taper up a bit from the wheel well forward.

With the regular front bumper, I could pull out of my very steep driveway; no such luck with the Nismo bumper. I still scrape a bit when I back out at a severe angle.

Yes,the front end is long. The end does taper a little as you can see in the pics. I take it slow up and down my driveway. My driveway isn't even steep. Our driveway are those tapered semi rounded ones so there it's the same curve from driveways to grass area that divide our houses. I cut on the grass and take a big and wide angle out. Spare the front end from gouges, the grass can die as sacrifice!

I have a 2013 touring sport and am looking to buy the full Nismo conversion from Z1. I'm hoping Nissan will install the parts, but I don't have my hopes up. I noticed the ZSpeed under pan says it's for a 2009-2012 Z. Correct my if I'm wrong, but isn't the 2013 Nismo body exactly the same as the previous years?

I think they added the front daytime running lights, starting with the 2013 and 2014 models. So the old NISMO front will need those unhooked.

The new 2015 NISMO front now has the running lights (but horizontal instead of vertical).

Hmm... the lowest part of the air dam is currently 4 and 1/2" off the ground... so it's probably best to just play it safe and get my driveway apron redone first. No point in cheapening out on an $800 concrete job, when I'm going to spend over five times that much for the conversion.

Yea. There's a lot of parts swapping involved, somewhere in the ballpark of $4000 worth with shipping and whatnot. I've also got those DRL that the NISMO doesn't, so that's gotta be removed as well.

However the price is still cheaper than something like a VeilSide... and I believe the OEM NISMO parts are sturdier than the FRP of most aftermarket bodykits (and doesn't use 3M tape).

I really disliked the interior of the NISMO, so I didn't get one... but I really, really like it's exterior. I've saved up some disposable cash over the months, and figured I'd spoil myself (and the Z) with something like this.

You should of just bought a nismo. Even a slightly used one would of been good too.

When I bought my nismo, I got it for 5k over a base+sport. That's just 1k more compared to what you are pricing it at. Only thing is I also get the full package, like the rims. suspension, nismo stitching, etc.

Not sure how much nismos go for now though.

Actually, that's what I'm going to do now. The upcoming 2015 version. I originally made this post before it was revealed. Now I'm just going to trade-in the one I have now.
