My 7AT is spending this weekend running at Sebring running the 12 hour course close to the limit of it's torque so we will see what it can take. Fingers crossed!

It's been awhile since we've had another At vs Mt thread.

AT guys love claiming its faster and MTs are dinosaurs. MT guys love saying they're more in control and manly.

Who's going to compare the 370z AT shifting to a real DCT? Haven't seen that yet...omgitsofast

A/T vs M/T will always be an argument of fact vs opinion. It's like arguing science vs religion. The beliebers will always preach.

Mine is Auto and I'm planning on doing all the bolt on's I can. It's your car, why care about what others think?

Just keep in mind that the fast and the furious is just a movie.

you need to realize that posts like this make the AT decision sound more inferior than MT's.

That's fine because that's YOUR opinion and I'll respect that. As I said, don't care what others think! your ride is your ride. Do what you want with it and let others do what they want with theirs. I don't care much for the AT vs MT never ending battle either, as long as we're all having fun because that's....the point? or have I gotten that terribly wrong

I bought the AT and thought I wanted a MT after a little while and now because I drive the car everyday in traffic half asleep and eating my breakfast and using my phone I prefer it over stick.
And its easier to get roadhead in. (sorry)

I wonder....which AT owners can actually drive a manual...

Not that it matters but I'm sure there are tons that cannot, but say they can. This is the interwebs afterall.

b15- so wat you're really saying is that one's not a car enthusiast unless they can truely DRIVE a MT car.

thanks for stirring up the pot even more.

haha no no no. I'm just wondering who can actually drive a manual and actually test drove one. OR if they just bought the AT by default. Obviously there's no way to prove it, but whatever.

I knew a guy that proclaimed to know how to drive manual (and all the associated techniques), but he never owned any manual cars and in the 3 years I knew him, I never saw him drive an MT. So finally a buddy and I put him behind the wheel of a 5MT accord (VERY easy to drive). After much teasing, he finally got in and he couldn't make it down the street....
