Or just go for a car with with an IRS suspension which everyone in this thread has already admitted is the superior solution.

Doesn't mean you can't make the other setup work. And like Red mentioned earlier, you can't just pick any IRS unit and automatically be better. There are plenty of mediocre to god-awful setups out there.

So is having a mid mount engine... does that mean anything to the average driver? no.

I have zero issue with my live axle on/off the track...

Perhaps on a flat track where the differences are negligible. Try racing on a track with a lot of elevation changes and you'll definitely feel the difference (the Nordschleife, especially the Karussell corner comes to mind).

Funny you mentioned that...

I was at Shenandoah Circuit two weeks ago... at Summit Point. I usually have the throttle planted through their Karussell. It's actually one of the points on the track where I can catch higher HP cars... Also there are plenty of changes in elevation...

So I would have to disagree...

How did it feel exiting through the corner? Did it take a while for the rear to settle? Anyway, great comeback with a pic of your car and a karussell .

The rear stayed well planted... never had issues with the throttle diving in or exiting... Lots of confidence in that and probubly one of my favorite areas.

EDIT: oh and that BOSS eventually passed me. lolz

You are such a liar. You and that Boss are obviously going 10 mph in that picture because live axles can't handle anything but flat surfaces.

You may not have issues, but it is still the inferior rear suspension set up.
