I don't know about the Z, but in Toyota smart keys, there is an option to turn off the smart key feature, where you will have to use your clicker

I don't know about the Z, but in Toyota smart keys, there is an option to turn off the smart key feature, where you will have to use your clicker to unlock and lock the door instead of pressing the button on your door handle...I"m sure there's one for the Z too...so I guess if you want to shut off that feature of your car, then you can definitely install remote start for your car...
