Over my Sentra Spec V, three Altimas, and my Z, each car has had fairly extensive bolt on modification, and never an issue. I did research and bought only high quality parts (cheap buys twice), and was very meticulous on installation. I put 45,000 "modified" miles on my 3.5 Altima Coupe 6MT with a Greddy catback exhaust, Racingline y-pipe, AEM Intake, short throw shifter, aftermarket audio, Tein springs, ichiba spacers, and some other cosmetic upgrades. That car was hands down the most reliable car I have owned to date. Not a single exhaust rattle from fitment issues, not a speed bump scrape, no blown out struts, no lean/rich AFRs (even without a tune) not one single problem. Routine maintenance as outlined in the owner's manual only. I really miss that car - the only reason why it is gone is because I couldn't justify keeping both it and the Z, so I traded it for a car that could actually fit more than just myself and a couple cases of Corona in it. When you do **** right, it compromises nothing. |
