Most aftermarket parts are flat out better quality than the OEM stuff (CSC).

Well my Z's TPMS started malfunctioning early on. I also suspect I may be consuming oil, i'll have to test that out when winter lets up.

This may sound stupid but i've that it's not worth getting the extended warranty. But i guess it's insurance just in case.

How much extra is the extended warranty?

Been in the Z for awhile, made it through a full oil change cycle.

Not true, it's about knowing the R&D practices, quality, craftsmanship, warranty, and the motorsports passion that the aftermarket company has for your vehicle. Also, it's about knowing every component on your vehicle, once you know that you can see which component needs to be replaced with the best money can buy, every car manufacturer cuts back on one component or another because of a production budget (i only buy mods for sports cars, except K&N air filters, a must in every car my family owns).

This may be the case for people who buy knockoff components and install them improperly causing failure of the new part itself or related parts.

Over my Sentra Spec V, three Altimas, and my Z, each car has had fairly extensive bolt on modification, and never an issue. I did research and bought only high quality parts (cheap buys twice), and was very meticulous on installation.

I put 45,000 "modified" miles on my 3.5 Altima Coupe 6MT with a Greddy catback exhaust, Racingline y-pipe, AEM Intake, short throw shifter, aftermarket audio, Tein springs, ichiba spacers, and some other cosmetic upgrades. That car was hands down the most reliable car I have owned to date. Not a single exhaust rattle from fitment issues, not a speed bump scrape, no blown out struts, no lean/rich AFRs (even without a tune) not one single problem. Routine maintenance as outlined in the owner's manual only. I really miss that car - the only reason why it is gone is because I couldn't justify keeping both it and the Z, so I traded it for a car that could actually fit more than just myself and a couple cases of Corona in it.

When you do **** right, it compromises nothing.
