Our Z has numerous rock chips on the rims from all the highway driving in its youth plus a couple of curb rashes from when my wife DD it. I'm am similarly interested in a lower cost option to refurbish them. I understand Plasti Dip is a very cheap change that also protects the original finish. It'll cover up any existing marks, but they'll be there waiting if you ever decide to peel it off. If I ever get the OEM rims refurbished, Plasti Dip is something I will definitely consider as a temporary change but also as a way to protect the wheels longer.
