I remember seeing my stock exhaust on the ground like that too, I even started it up open headers and my god haha.

DCNISMO 01-14-2012 05:27 PM

Let's see.... Let a bud drive my Nismo and he almost wadded it into a guard rail. Cold tires and cool air. He has a ctsv so he can drive pretty good, but is not used to a short wheel based sports car. But the Nismo slides pretty good once it breaks loose, linear and predictable.

Someone opened their car door on my door and, I don't even know, tried to keep opening it? Too horrible to take a pic. :) Never leaving home on Friday the 13th ever again.

Damn that sucks. Could be an accident or could be a hater. I usually park a good 20ft away from everyone else lol.

woah, i missed this post a few days ago. sorry to hear this eazyd. :(

if the 4" scratch is polishable i would consult a PDR tech to rid the crease. i dont trust color matching too much as you can tell. :D GL!

Been offline for a week. Update: thanks Mr. onzedge for posting up some pics of Z's in your backyard. What are a bunch of guys with Z's doing there??? Z1 25 row oil cooler installation on mine and the red Z. All went well, only mishap was overfilling the belly with about 7/8th of a quart of oil. The boys did very well, top notch installation and I would not hesitate recommending them in the future. Pass the word. Enjoy the islands !!

Just in case anyone was wondering WTH is this pic of a front end of a Z. It's my awesome front fang black out. One of a kind! Plus the beastly stance, sport wheels on 20mm rolling on 265's. And finally the clean headlamp housing. Led parking lights and turn signals with no egg yokes. Very clean.

Happy Sunday to all and enjoy today's NFL games. If I was a gambling man I would have made a mint off my choices yesterday to win - 49's and the Pats. Today my picks are the Giants and Ravens. If Giants win then the 49's get home field when they play them. Quote of the day "The Grab".

Removed the lower engine cover to take pics and video to post on my NST pulley install. When installing the NST kit, I suggest getting their Gates K070786 belt.
Video shows pulleys installed using the stock belt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De9_MWlruRg&feature=g-upl&context=G28bc6e0AUAAAAAAAAAA

Pretty day in Houston so I snapped a couple of pictures of the car while it was clean. Rain expected this week.

The first shot is of the car when it was about three weeks old. The other three were taken today showing the drop, spacers, Nismo bumper and rims. AJ at CarbonSignal is tempting me with a CF ducktail, and I think I'm going to pull the trigger.

How do they sound with just those mods? and can you feel any difference in performance?

It's probably polishable. Dent isn't as bad as I thought that first night. Do I bring it to Nissan dealership, bring it to my insurance company estimate place, or find someone in the yellow pages?

I might do my fangs with plasti dip. Have to descide what all to do. Have two cans so think I can do alot.

370ZilverZ 01-15-2012 03:56 PM

I like the flat look the best. IMO looking at pictures, the plasti dip looks a bit satin. From reading the DIY threads, I think I will mask, sand and paint with the flatest black I can find. Undecided on the rear, but fangs for sure!

Brantly - where in Florida do you live? I've got family in Orlando, Rocklidge, Eau Gallie, Melbourne Beach, and I practically grew up in Indialantic.

Point taken on the tone of the black, but Plasti-Dip is probably the best thing to paint such a low, chip-prone area.

christian370z 01-15-2012 05:31 PM

Just did a quick ONR wash on the Z, hopefully it won't rain but it looks like it might. I might take a drive through the canyons tomorrow depending on the weather today, can't wait to give my RE-11s a nice workout. :)
