Every day for the past six weeks I have been avoiding the CHP. They have been patrolling my area more than at any previous time. I normally go months between sightings of police cars but lately, multiple vehicles. Go around one bend where they were waiting and find another a few turns later. Never has this been the case. The number of speeders can't justify the income 3 traffic patrol cops can incur vs the main freeway.
In December a CHP was hiding behind a sign, just like in the movies. I thought I was nailed at 60 in a 35 zone but when the lights came on behind me, the cop nailed a huge SUV in front of me, that must have (?) run a stop sign coming from the other direction. Yesterday I saw the CHiP'er with his radar gun out the window while I approached at 20 MPH over the limit. His motorcycle buddy was talking to him through his window, (maybe blocking?) and I simply slowed quickly. I have not received a ticket since 1986 but those days are numbered. California needs more than $40 billion. I think they plan on raising it via traffic tickets. Much better than decreasing spending at the state wide level. |

I suppose you can wait for the d-specs if you are on the fence about improved performance.
Im not sure of the eta though. My G's set was like 550 shipped for the entire set. |

Just installed gtr start button and ordered aam short tail exhaust today
|
I pulled off my crank pulley and what a f#%$ing nightmare alternator so that I could install my NST pulley's. What an experience. Thank goodness my engineering degree is from the school of hard knocks. I think I just got an honorary doctorate from that exam.
I will install CAI, HFC and Pulleys tomorrow. |
^ nice!

Walking out of a supermarket (Stop & Shop), a little girl (7 yrs old?) is walking with her mom towards the entrance and says, "hey! a 350Z!" and I turn and say "that's a 370Z!" with a smile. We walk past each other - me with an armful of groceries. I pop the hatch, put stuff in, look up, and they are walking toward me.
I got to show her the car, had her sit in the passenger seat and push the Start button. I revved a couple times and she was mesmerized by the 370Z logo on my Kenwood Nav screen on boot-up. I took the moment to reiterate how it's important to do well in school. What a cool event - I love inspiring little ones and her mom was super happy I wasn't a jerk. |

For Happy:
Pic of scratch http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...d/DSCF0038.jpg Pic of scratch after repair http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...d/DSCF0043.jpg A few feet away http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...d/DSCF0045.jpg It is hard to tell in the picture but the scratch can still be seen it just is color matched but visible if you know what your looking for. If you never knew it was there you would have to be paying pretty close attention to see it. |
Washed her last night and drove her to work this morning.

Srenity, good job man! I've really gotta give that a try. Thanks for posting.

yah, i mean we all have some sort of indentation from rocks even if there were no paint chipping off. to me it's the same as color matched touchup work just not 100.000000% smooth. no issue in my book. |
Hey srenity and kenchan, what do you use to apply the paint to try and make it look as smooth as possible? I've got a couple of nicks on the front that I need to patch up.
|
i use a tooth pick with the tip flattened a little bit by hitting it on a table or something.
this way it can retain paint. :) |
Ken uses a toothpick that he chews on for two minutes then applies paint. Then PDR's the car with a plunger LOL J/K Kenman good to see you on today. :tiphat:Hey Spohn and Alchemy. I'm looking to book my rooms for the cruise prior to the show from Va. and ZDayZ tomorrow.:ughdance: I've almost confirmed my time off so I feel I can go ahead and do it.
