Nice job doing it yourself!
How do you like the Kenwood HU? |
so far i like it a lot. easy navigation through ipod files and going through sources, nice DVD picture, still getting to know it and haven't used the navigation yet but seeing as i got it for $325 and it was less than a year old i'm pretty stoked

Today I had to jump on it with the wife in the car. Some guy in Caddy SUV was pushing and not going to let the small car merge. So, 25-75 in about 4 secs. Left him in the dust as they say. The wife started laughing and she doesn't like fast most of the time. I think that is because in the other cars we own it requires banging of gears (those are manual cars) and there is a lot of head bobbing. In the Z is just goooooo. Then her comment was: "Yeah commute car, right. I knew this was going to faster than your old 350Z but, never thought a automatic would take off like that." I remindered her that the '67 Camaro with 650HP we own has a two speed automatic. Her response was, "That's not a six cylinder (economy) import car; this one has half the HP." She got me there plus, she has never been in the passenger seat of the Camaro so she has no reference. What other six cylinder car gets 27-28mpg and hits a sub 13 second quarter mile?
I Love my Z for what it is .... Life is short live it !!! |

So, there is no Z action for me today as I am prepping for some business travel to the big island of Hawaii. It's tough duty, but someone's got to do it.

For comparison, I baselined at my buddies shop who has a Superflo dyno. Baseline was 296whp. With LTHs and CBE ONLY, I redynoed 326whp. So, dynos don't mean sh!t other than as a tuning tool and measuring the delta for all the mods you've done--provided you keep going to the same one, otherwise, irrelevant. The only time comparing dynos is worthwhile is when there's dyno comp/shootout and everyone is dynoing on the same day back to back etc, THEN the comparos are valid imo. /\ I know this isn't news to a lot of folks here, but there's always a few who get way to wrapped up in dyno #s. :tiphat: |
I drove for a short distance today but the city decided to leave a huge puddle of water from over-running the sprinklers that I had no choice but to drive through. Then some dummy decides to drive with their windshield washers on for a good 20 seconds.
Long story short my clean Z from Saturday is no longer so clean :( |

Car sat outside while I was at school and got haled on all day :( Some small imperfections on the roof and hood now. Don't suppose there's any way to get rid of it without replacing panels??

Ordered ARK v2 from FBNISSAN, Jomer took good care of me. Good guy to deal with. I can't wait to get it.
