Those are nice. Any dealers on here for TSW? I'm looking for some budget wheels for daily use.

kenchan 02-03-2012 01:02 PM

yah, the rear offset is weak at 27 so i'd need to run 15mm spacer. that's about the only thing that's holding me back at the moment. not that i dont have spacers, im not in a rush to get them as they are only going to be used for backup set.

Footloose301 02-03-2012 01:04 PM

Looking at their website and it shows the front wheels weigh MORE than the larger rear wheels..... Odd

Good Day Mr.kenchan, Mr.onzedge.

I was too, seriously considering the same one but in silver before I changed my mind to the Vossen.

I found the TSW is too 'flat', plus the color silver, makes the car looks like a hotwheel-diecast.

I like the Weds that you are having on much more than the TSW though.

Backup set?? What do you mean? You gonna put them on your Leaf??? :icon18: :icon18:

Are they really that flat? I've not seen one in the offset I'm looking for other than picts. Thought they looked pretty good....(?) How much does your vossens weight? :)

Yah my weds are my main wheels. :p

I was looking into them before I found out bout the Forgestars. They arent bad and pretty light. For that price though I would go Avant Garde M368 :yum: Not sure of the offsets though.

M368 - Avant Garde Wheels

The m368 looks good, but I really like the f310! Of course, it's a forged wheel and starts at ~$1k per wheel!

I saw some pics with silver TSW on 370z here and other sites, it does look flat, but as I stated, maybe because the chrome silver makes it looks flat, the black one might looks different.

VVS CV1, a 20X9 is 30lbs, consider they are not forged and I am getting 19X8.5 & 19X10, so I expect it should be mid 20s, which is pretty light, and it concave very nicely.

how much do your forgestars weight? :) i want to keep the wheels under 23lbs. otherwise if i get heavier wheels i'll have to get the DW's again to make the gross weight lighter.

my current setup is actually 5-6lbs lighter per corner vs stock 19's with RE050's. :p

thanks for the link. the offsets are too agressive for wat im looking at, plus those things weigh a lot from what ive seen. like 27-28lbs. ok for a dd (G35C) but not for my Z! :D

hummm... i know wat you mean by having flat wheels on the Z. it doesn't look right. one of the several reasons why i got the weds that i have now. very curvy. :yum: :D

Correction Ken, my set is staggered 19x9 & 19x11. Looks like the fronts are about 23 and rears 24-25.

Finally got my Z back from the dealer repairing a scratch near the hatch found on delivery. I had them add a decal to the hood while it was there and remove the hamburgers so I could put on the Z emblems.

martin82 02-03-2012 05:24 PM

just received my front and rear splash guards and H&R 20mm spacers (should I even use them at the track at all?) they are not the stud replacement one.
Next week I should pick up the Seibon Nsm Wing!

kenchan 02-03-2012 05:35 PM

martin- if your car isn't lowered having splash guards and 20mm spacers on the rear stock wheels might look werd. the splash guards looked out of place when i tried that long time ago.

Check out pics in my journal on the 20mm spacers with splash guards and not lowered. It doesn't look bad, but the spash guards don't help much after putting the spacers on. I'll be removing mine.

Started on the mods tonight. GTR button:installed. Interior LEDs:installed. License plate & back up light LEDs:installed. Didn't have time to do the parking light LEDs before it got dark (ironically). And the Mobil 1 oil cap...that was the toughest! Tomorrow is install the front LEDs & then I dunno. May start on the Dynamat. I am up to 145 miles on it now.

Great start. Dynamat is on my weekend schedule too. Good luck!
