Always ideas for upgrades. It needs Gen III's and a CBE with the quickness and then a tune. All in due time.

SPOHN 01-31-2012 03:32 PM

Received tracking number for package this Thurday. Pics to come then. Only a couple of people have this mod.

Yup, I know exactly what you mean! Every time I hear it I wince, and then hope it's just in the fender well. :(

MrZ, that looks quite nice! Five minutes, huh? Not too shabby!

I think the only saving grace here is the screaming Versa they hooked you up with! Have you gone cruising for babes in it yet?
Hang in there Mr. Onzedge!

I got next to a nice 350z the other day while I was in the Versa and gave him the "guy nod". He looked at me like I was an idiot or a deranged old man. And, yeah, Mrs. onzedge likes it when I cruise for babes. :icon17:

So have Mrs. Onzedge go out to a street corner. Then you can come along and pick her up for a date! Yeah, roll up...roll the window down...and hail her over to the car! BWAHAHAHAA!! :)

(Of course, I'm only kidding don't you know my friend?)

It is kind of fun to do that kind of stuff sometimes. For example -- decide to arrive separately to a bookstore or some place like that and then "meet up". I digress.

And yes, the black Versa is a chick magnet.

Yesterday, A stunning sight. A Prius driving uphill while keeping his momentum up. He cut corners I would not during daylight hours and he ran a stop sign but wow. He got up to 60 MPH in a 25-30 zone. I have never seen one moving right along before. When I pulled off, I waved in recognition, and he waved back.

Today I've been running aroud with the SRM off. Just for fun and practice.

Installed the Z1 Post MAF's and HKS drop in filters today. Then I took it for a test spin. My but dyno and VDC ingagement ratio dyno both tell me that it did provide some extra power. It increased the intake noise more than I thought too at high RPM. I figured since the stock box is retained that it would have no noise changes but the high flow filter along with the elimination of the flex pipes does provide a good volume increase. Great simple and inexpensive mod.

Thanks, and yeah I agree that I like the sound. It's one of those good types of loud.

harry370z 01-31-2012 10:26 PM

cleaned / treated the leather seats with meguiars

bbigby64 01-31-2012 10:34 PM

Took advantage of a warm winter day by washing the dirt and salt off of my Z; a flash snow storm caught the wife and me by surprise while we were eating at a restaurant on Sunday evening . We took longer than usual to get home, because those sporty tires just don't appreciate the snow. ;)

kenchan 01-31-2012 10:36 PM

bbigby- you were doing donuts in the parking lot so that's why it took longer than usual, huh? speak the truth. :icon17:

Why HPS over Z1? Just to be different?

Looks great man! Why did you choose Z1 over HPS? :icon17:

Srenity 01-31-2012 10:43 PM

Just have had good experiences with Z1 and the price was right. I bought the pipes and an oil cooler kit at the same time.

Yeah, man. After exiting the parking lot, getting up that hill was a b@#. The Z was fish tailing. It's nice that the car was aware of it. (NO sh#!) I tried to keep my cool, though. Didn't want the wife to panic. :D

Nope. It was no fun. I just wanted to get my precious home in one piece, and the wife, too. :D Gotta check the forecast better next time. That snow storm came out if no where!

Nah, they're not made by the same company as far as I know. Also others have stated that. The fitment on the Z1 post MAFs were better. Go figure. There's also Mishimoto, but I gotta be honest with you, I think they're all pretty much going to show eaual results.

Thank you Mr.kenchan, like Mr.onzedge, since I cannot drive my Z these days, shopping stuffs for the Z is the only way I can comfort myself, I am afraid I am getting the Z-noon-drivable Syndrome that its high season is Winter or Screwing Lock Failure.... LOL

In fact, I did the K&N drop-in too, but those threads about CAI recently just making me itch very badly!!!

:icon18: :icon18:

TypeOne 02-01-2012 09:35 AM

The roads were wet this morning so I left my Z home, too. I washed and buffed him last evening so I didn't want to get him dirty.

hahahaha. i use weatherbug app on my droidx and it's been very reliable so far.

not only does it have radar it also shows barometric pressure so as soon as you see it dropping you know it's very likely that it's going to rain/snow. :)
