Hey Alcheng, what size spacers to you go with? 10mm for the rears? Also, who'd you decide to support, Eibach or H&R? Can't wait to see 'em installed.

hey Mr.happy, eventually I go for.......... Eibach. I go for the stud replacement type and it is 10mm for the rear. I was torn between 10mm and 15mm but eventually go for 10mm, seems it's a safer choice and I also consider the camber change if I put 15mm.

Don't need to, cos I can get the news from Mr.Fire. LOL :bowrofl:

Thanks for asking the question that's on my mind too! What size spacers are you running? Damn but that looks good! I aspire to have my Monterey Blue look as good as yours, my brother!

Ps. The linky to your journal build appears brokey.

Ok, I found your journal and was able to answer one of the questions: 15mm and 20mm spacers. Perfect, and exactly what I'm thinking about getting.

Ok, now on to the tire sizes?

Alchang size doesn't always matter, it does come with a suede cover :driving:
Nice setup Dembflyr

I like leather too, the MOMO I have is leather, feels better and doesn't need to worry about getting burnt by it in Summer

Fire 03-27-2012 06:39 PM

They say the suede gives better grip, esp. with race gloves :ugh2: I ordered the steering wheel with it also.

true, more friction = more grip.

yea, typical setup up either 15/15 or 15/20.

Just wondering the effect on camber with wider spacers.

ZMan8 03-27-2012 07:14 PM

i would think the effects on camber are minimal between 20 and 15mm?

happytheman 03-27-2012 07:32 PM

I haven't heard of camber issues from the addition of spacers. If there are...people need to chime in because it's just a matter of time before I go 15/20. :)

5mm won't make a different but imagine 15-20mm from stock.

Im interested in those that switched to spacers from stock, how was your camber after. I know with just swifts, some can get away within oem camber, but with spacers, will that push the need for camber arms?

I have Swift/Koni/15mm spacer setup in the rear. When I did the springs, the stock camber arm did not have enough adjustment. In went the SPC arms and they do the trick.

happytheman 03-27-2012 07:56 PM

I just was about to send out a distress signal Onzedge!

Hold on now, you've left a question unanswered! You're not doing your diplomatic duty! :rofl2:

What's the effect on camber from a 15/20 spacer AND NOTHING ELSE?
