That sounds like a good approach.

This wheel spacer discussion has me thinking and worried now. I have H&R stud replacement on the front, but Ichiba non-stud replacement on the rear. Should I be concerned? Should I spend the rest ot the week fretting and obsessing, only to purchase stud-replacements for the rear?

mr.onzedge - i wouldn't worry. i suppose if you start sensing vibration through your steering wheel it might be time to replace the spacer on the front. as for the rear, probably fine and infact 'better' to have the ichibas/Kic's since the centering ring has some room to move vs the single-molded hubcentric spacers by H&R/Eibach when using your stock 19's. :)

sounds great, mr.gale! this goes with buying things too... i basically dont buy things unless i truely want it. :D

Now I think I am going to replace my rear spacers with stud-replacement types. While I am at it, I am thinking about going with ARP studs - is this overkill? Probably, but overkill and I are well acquainted -- all I have to do is look at my photo equipment, book collection or cd's.

:iagree: Mr.kenchan, stock FairladyZ = fairlady, why change her into a gothic. :bowrofl:

droid4 is a very nice smartphone, consider your requirement is a physical keyboard. Otherwise, I am looking forward to the Galaxy SIII. I am still using my SII, just got it since last Jul and love it so far.

honestly i think you would be going backwards if you went to stud-replacement type while running stock 19's, unless you have stud-replacement spacers with separate centering rings.

if you're running aftermarket lug-centric wheels like mr.alcheng, then either one will work just fine. :)

especially for the rear when you have to swap to donuts it's not that difficult to remove the bolt-on spacers out in the field. if it's the front then you'll have to jam something in the disc brake in order to remove the spacer unless you have an impact at all times. :icon17:

yep, i dont like 'typing' on faux keys on the touch panel. i prefer physical qwerty keyboard. also, i prefer to buy american even if made in china. :p so for me, apple for my computer needs (MBP), Motorola for my smartphone needs, and bb for my work needs.

BigT 03-26-2012 03:53 PM

Well my license suspension got over turned today. Stupid state DMV. I haven't touched my car in 2 weeks so i'm gonna wash her. :)

Mr.kenchan, how about those spacers have the "lips" that stick out for centering???

i call those the single molded ones. those work fine on lugcentric wheels like your vossens. you use tapered lugs instead of your stock lugs with washer, right?

that means less stress on the centering lip and wont break off. the stock wheels relies on that lip for stability. this is why sometimes they shear off under heavy load.

not sure about tapered lugs, but they have to use smaller size lugs because the lug-hole on the vossen is smaller than OEM.

Congrats Big :driving:

SPOHN 03-26-2012 07:01 PM

Took my hood to the body shop to have my Carbon Signal vents installed. I hope they can pull it off for me. A little paranoid.

Fire 03-26-2012 07:08 PM

Spohn a little paranoid is good. I did my body work myself after talking with my body shop and getting a very negative vibe. :ugh2:

Dembflyr 03-26-2012 07:46 PM

Oil change, rear camber arms and a quick wash today. Tomorrow I go get my RE-11's installed.

No exhaust this month. Hopefully early April.

nepali 03-26-2012 08:18 PM

Just got done washing/waxing my car! Man, I am tired! I had to do it because the weekend trip left a lot of bugs on the front bumper and windshield. I still can't get rid of 2-3 little spots...it's like they are embedded in there...ugh! Also found few rock chips! :(

Yah, if you have smaller lugs you're fine mr.alcheng!

Hubcentric lugs are huge in comparison due to the washer.

Here's a link to some pictures from this past Sunday's Z Club of Houston cruise:

It was a beautiful day, a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to see some really neat cars and meet some fun people.

HAHAHA! :D from experience I found mothers to be the easiest to use. Griots clay is wat I use, but it is soft and sticky.

It is true that Wikipedia is the internet version of Cliff Notes. However, you need some quick knowledge on a topic? There is no better place in a pinch. I have written and delivered entire presentations and speeches based on stuff I found there (only on occaision).
