After a period of time the spring will settle thus lower tbe height thus more -ve camber.
Regarding the spacers, imagine the rotor/hub are not facing out at 0 degree, about 1.5-2.0 degree facing upward. When extending the trackwidth with spacers, the wheel is not just extending outward horizontally but upward along the axis of the camber, I hope you understanding what I am talking.
When this happen, I am wondering is there any affect on the camber.

I hope some guru in here can chip in.

;)

Running the board favourite here, too:
- Swift SpecR
- H&R 15mmF / 20mmR
- RE-11 265/35-19F / 285/35-19R
- SPC Camber Kit

ZMan8 03-27-2012 08:07 PM

I'm thinking of this set up for starters:

15 MM f, 15 r
Swift springs
SPL camber arms in rear (front hopefully i can get in spec)

Yah, I wouldn't sweat that too much. Unless you're totally postwhoring, it will take a millennium to make it to 14k posts. :postwhore:

Hold on now, you've left a question unanswered! You're not doing your diplomatic duty! :rofl2:

What's the effect on camber from a 15/20 spacer AND NOTHING ELSE?

Ha. I did spacers first (by themselves) and was in-spec in the rear.

You'll wish you got 20mm for the rear, trust me.

Yeah I'll see when I order them. I'm still not completely decided. Mr. Kenchan did mention that 20's on stock tires make the rear look funny.

Mr. Onzedge, and anybody else can chime in, when you put spacers on did it make the brake calipers look weird because they become more sunk in?

Anybody have a side shot handy.

In my opinion, 15 is just right.

I don't think the depth of the spacers made the brake calipers look weird at all.
I also painted my spacers so blended in with the rotor hats.

I think it looks great on 15/20. W/ stock widths...and even a little wider like Lunaz's 265/285 setup it's NOT too aggressive.

Edit to reflect the NOT! (thanks Zman)

20mm on the rear with Tanabe springs and stock Rays.

happytheman 03-27-2012 09:10 PM

I just don't see how some think 20's on the rear look funny.

Seriously..I'm all like...:ugh2:

Especially when compared to stock.

happytheman 03-27-2012 09:24 PM

My wife reminded me that the new Madonna CD MDNA dropped today so I had to immediately hop in the Z and take a windows-down ride out to the local Target before they closed to pick it up.

Hey Happy - when I get my rear 20mm spacers changed out for 10mm (remember class, I'm now running Nismo rims), I'll ship you the 20mm and studs (H&R DRS) if you pay the postage - probably $15.95 Priority mail. Insurance would probably run $3.00. Next time I make it to Daytona, you owe me a beer.

When I put my car in the shop to repaint the front bumper the week of April 16, they are going to swap my spacers.

Just let me know.

Dude! How could I not jump on that deal? Umm....let me think about that.... I'll take it! :). A single beer? You're a cheap date dude! It's gotta be a good beer though, and not one of those washed down things you can buy 24 of for $5. :rofl2:

Hi guys. Hows the night going? :hello:

ZMan8 03-27-2012 10:51 PM

well I just recently got home from work after another 12+ hour day. Whew. How are you Fire?

onzedge 03-27-2012 10:55 PM

Sitting here in the den/office watching a Bones rerun and eating chocolate chip/oatmeal cookies the Mrs. made.

happytheman 03-27-2012 10:56 PM

Going pretty good Fire.. Getting ready to call it a night though.

Lots of wheel spacer conversations tonight.

Kenchan has been absent. I think he may be renegotiating his Griots contract right now in light of the recent Mothers recommendation. :)
