I can see the powerwash option. I don't use them with my aero pieces on the front but don't think it would actually hurt them they are bolted and taped on.

370zproject 03-13-2012 11:43 PM

do those aroe deals help?

alcheng 03-13-2012 11:44 PM

If you have clear-bra, make sure don't get the pressure nozzle too close to it otherwise the pressurized water will rip the film and it's not covered under warranty.

But the bugs should easily got rinse off by the coin-wash nozzle.

Give it a try first.

Fire 03-13-2012 11:44 PM

I would def. clear bra it after the repaint. You might want to try a very soft bristly toothbrush to get that stubborn one off.

I've never had the car above 100 with or without the pieces. They do look good though.

ah your like my dad Attachment 42773 i think he has hit 100 once

Fire 03-13-2012 11:55 PM

One of the reasons I'm trading in my Z is that I cannot use it for track days unless I get an aftermarket rollbar. The ZL1 will be a coupe and allowed on trackdays without a rollbar. I live 100 miles from Watkins Glen so I'm close enough to attend a few track days a year.:driving:

Good morning all! :hello:

Looks to be a Z-less day for the next few. Once I get the car back, I'm going to MIT to input the parameters for the proper spacer size. With the retirement of the Space Shuttle fleet, the launch algorithm has been revised to accomodate the "spacer-sizing challenged" of the world.

To be serious though, I'm not sure it's worth the hassle or money to run a 5mm spacer on the rear with the Nismo rims. I may be just having them removed altogether, especially since none of the franchised tire shops want to touch a car with spacers.

Try claybar and lube. :) also for future washes try a product called Wizard's BugRelease. Its a spray that softens bugs.

Morning all!

kenchan 03-14-2012 07:08 AM

Gurney- that's not a bad idea. :)

What is the reason for that?

GaleForce 03-14-2012 07:30 AM

The spray softens the bugs? How? Does it whisper sweet nothings to them?
