After that I took an old ankle holster and gave myself a little added protection!!

Dayum, busy day! Garage looks sweet!

Which FI did you go with?

Is that a legal location for the holster? I thought it had to be in a glove box, and in a holster... Essentially making it two steps to get to.

Fire 03-17-2012 07:24 PM

Hey happy good to see ya. In NY it needs to be in the glovebox with trigger lock and glovebox locked with rounds in seperate compartment. Or so I have been told.

ZScr3am 03-17-2012 07:25 PM

18" Res. I have a permit! I can leave it in the seat while I'm pulled over and the cops cant do anything!! I can role around with 6 guns in a vest like dude off of Boondock Saints and they can't do SH!!!T!!! LOL

Fire 03-17-2012 07:28 PM

I've been thinking of getting a pistol permit but know that I don't need another hobby.

happytheman 03-17-2012 07:36 PM

Yup, just checked it out! In Tennessee you have to have a permit to carry in your car.

Apparently in Florida (unbeknownst to me), it has to only be "securely encased".

"Securely encased" means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case; or in a closed box or container which requires a lid or cover to be opened for access.

Nice! I wouldn't mind putting my Berretta in a holster as you did! :)

Fire 03-17-2012 07:41 PM

What Berretta do you have Happy? One of the nicest guns I've fired was a friends Taurus .357 magnum with 6" chrome barrel.

Fire 03-17-2012 07:46 PM

I see a new how to thread. How to arm you Z.:ughdance:

GaleForce 03-17-2012 07:48 PM

Make sure you guys aren't crossing nuts and knobs during your group hug. I'm going to have to sit this one out.

Fire 03-17-2012 07:49 PM

I think Happy is in his garage test fitting his holster.

Fire 03-17-2012 07:50 PM

Nuts knobs guns and hugs :woot:

Fire 03-17-2012 08:05 PM

Talk to you guys tomorrow afternoon. Have a busy morning including a thorough clean and wax of the Z. :ughdance:

Beretta 96 40 Caliber. I also have a Ruger P89 9mm, a Glock 17c 9mm and a .38 Special that my Grandfather won in a poker game! I like the Berretta best, tho. It's a big piece and fits in my hand perfectly. :)

My Glock .40 travels OK, but the Remington 870 and the AR-15 are not so subtle.

Hugs back at you, Mr. Kenchan -- virtual, of course as the only guys I hug are at AA meetings. :tiphat:

ZScr3am 03-17-2012 09:49 PM

I was "allowed" to drive the Juke yesterday for our Saturday errand-running. My wife is in love with it (it is her DD).

It is not a bad ride. It handles fairly well and is very zippy/peppy around town. I am happy that she hates auto trans -- the manual makes it much more fun. The first mod is a cat-back, probably the Stillen, and after the break-in period.

happytheman 03-18-2012 10:08 AM

I am very curious to hear what a free-flowing Juke is going to sound like. :)

Vossens? You suck! I hate you! J/K man, congratulations and please post up some pics when you get 'em mounted. :pics:

What's your ride height? Are you staying stock?

Yeah I noticed that nobody had posted since my last one and was going to say so...but I'm the first poster sooo often with my coffee antics I figured I'd let someone else nab that glory! :hello:

Coffee has two virtues: it is wet and warm. :rofl2:

kenchan 03-18-2012 10:51 AM

motoring happy! yah, poorly lowered/messed up civics, lancers, wrx's, evo's, mr2's... i use to see a lot of them driving around especially on my way back from my drive. i didn't see even one today. they want to race usually so i try to stay as far away as possible so when they crash by themselves into a ditch or pole or tree, witnesses dont suspect i was racing him. :icon17:

I just do not like a car I cannot hear and I think the Stillen sounds good and healthy. As far as the wheel gap, changing it might be a tough sell to Mrs. onzedge.
