Nice! I had a XR10 but never really got into it much. Some of the money I got selling it is what paid for the new car. The rest will go into a new servo and esc since the stuff i have on hand doesn't fit very well. I also plan on trying to make a quasi mini-me of my car lol, I'm going to be ordering a 370Z body for my TC6 :D

Quick question regarding the painting of my StopTechs. Im masking them off and I know that I left a bigger section than needed exposed for painting. The first time I drive it the pads should take the excess off without any negative side effects correct?? Im using high temp rotor/caliper paint.

Yep. The pads will take care of the excess paint.

I chose the Whitelines based on reviews that I've read here. There are guys that have tried several brands of sway bars on the track and the majority like the performance from the Whitelines the most.

There is a thread on here that goes in depth about the settings... I can't remember who's thread, it might be in this one http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...s-amazing.html

Yeah i read that thread a few times now. I am leaning toward whitlines but they are $$ compared to the rest and I don't know if that extra $100 or so + extra weight is worth it on a street car.

Also, did you get the rear end links? Do you need them?

Yes, I did get the rear end links. No, you don't need them.

Good evening all, or is it morning (moaning) haha.

I am back....sorta. Skimming the headlines only.....posting one liners here and there. All is good in the house for those keeping up with ZForce Times.

The bro has an extended warranty if you catch my drift. Life is Good!

I have not been keeping up with this thread and of course what that means after awhile I stop receiving em feeds. Any new great mods on the market I should be aware of?

The PG caught the notorious CEL, same as the bro's a few months back. Engine idle stays around 1k-1250k and knocks a lot under light acceleration. It will probably be the same issue that I wrote up awhile back. Has anybody else had these symptoms? Probably have to break down and start a thread after this if not already documented. Turned out on the bros car to be an engine wall ground terminal that was rusted causing the ecu to act up. Will see tomorrow after a trip down dealer lane.

Other than that, will be waiting for delivery of washer/dryer tomorrow morning, have some under the counter appliances to install. Need some suggestions for the bro's b-day this Thursday 3/15.

Off to Mr. onzedge' house on Sunday for a look into the whirling sound coming from the oil cooler install on the bros car.

Happy Saturday to the Z community!!

Zforce, so glad to hear Hal is doin better! Family is sooo important! I'm not just talking blood relations, close friends can be considered family too!

I have some homebrew bourbon oak Imperial Stout aging as we speak. I think I am going to let it age for about 6 months or so. I only helped my buddy with the brew he is the brewing mastermind. He actually works for Mendocino brewing and makes some really good brews.

Srenity 03-10-2012 01:08 PM

I made a few orders in the last couple days.

Invidia Gemini
Eibach Sways
Carbon Signal Type N add on wing

Once the wing gets in I will have all of my exterior mods (other than wheels) sitting in my garage. I have had the Stillen lip, evo-r side blades, evo-r rear diffuser, and black pearl emblems sitting around for several months now. I just refused to put any exterior mods on the car until after I had the bolt on power mods installed.

After I get the exhaust on and then a tune I should be a go on installing all the exterior mods.

happytheman 03-10-2012 02:04 PM

Wow Srenity! I don't know that I could sit on mods like that! That takes pure determination!

In for pics when you get going on 'em! :pics:

Happy Saturday Guys! :hello:

Good day! Sunny nice, perfect day in South Germany and the Z is out of the body shop. Newly painted hood, front and rear bumpers. Can't wait to get the first coat of polish/wax on it. The shop did a great job. Helps that I live right behind it! Great crew!

This coming Friday the new Michelin Super Sports go on with the summer wheels and the oil change. Driving season is here!

That is going to be a sick day of progress when you get all of that on at once!

I can't decide between the stillen splitter and evo r front lip :(

Nice Ride and Congrats!!

Looks good Onzedge, they have grown on me, before seeing the Juke made me cry

I think that commercial of the guy in the red shoes making his way to the office with donuts helped me like it more lol.

I personally like the Evo R front lip better. Stillen if you're on a budget is good.

hey motored my Z this am, was a great drive. had to keep it calm as i kinda had to re-familiarize myself to the car. car felt real good.

got like 5 compliments already. :p

after the drive i worked on my G. swapped to summer wheels set and while doing so, inspected brake lines, suspension bits, washed the last of the salt off bits using a small detailing brush and soapy water, water bottle to rinse. :) adjusted psi, cleaned the interior, swapped to summer floor mats, etc. was SUPER TIRED by the time i was done. completely out of car-detailing shape/routine. lol :icon17:

going to motor my Z tomorrow too... :excited:

Price actually played very little in the choice of front lips for me. I personally do not like the style of any other lip but the stillen. To me the stillen looks the closest to a simple splitter rather than a lip. Thats the look that I like. Just like anything to do with style it is all about preferance.

You gave the Z some love today!

happytheman 03-10-2012 05:23 PM

I'm really giving the Michelin Pilot Super Sport and the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s a real close look. I did find this interesting for the Michelins tho:

Treadlife Warranty: 6 Years / 30,000 Miles
Half mileage for rear if different size than front

Hmmm, so they only warranty for 15k on staggered setups?

alcheng 03-10-2012 05:23 PM

After some consideration here and there, I think I will go for the spoiler for my Z. :icon17:

I did seriously consider the exhaust but after my Z ride on the past Wed, with the top down, I am a bit hesitate about hearing a louder exhaust note everyday, also conversation inside the cabin even with the top up... And the CAI is starting to giving a nice engine note...

So.. after all the thinking, I will go with spoiler...(maybe for now.. LOL) :icon17:
