Default 5600 Miles

I hit 5600 miles today, I purchased my 370Z on January 2, 2009. I'm quite satisfied with the car. Of course the wrong wheel locks were put on and I had a flat and yes the wheel lock did BREAK! I went to the dealership and they gave me G37 wheel locks!

I damaged a tire and had to replace it, it was extremely hard finding that tire in city of 2,000,000+ people. Nissan wanted to charge $400 for one and of course they didn't have it in stock. I chose run flats, the ride isn't too rough but there is a difference. Those tires are HUGE, I really didn't notice until they were taken off the car. I read a lot of complaints about road noise, that doesn't bother me.

I've taken it on an 8 hour trip and enjoyed every minute. I've only seen one other 370Z in Houston, which is great!

My average weekend detailing is about 1-2 hours! I've never paid anyone to detail my car and probably never will. I got my first car when I was 15 and I've always loved spending time detailing it. No one can detail it like I can!

So yeah, I love my Z!

I KNEW this would happen to someone eventually! Breaking the lock when a flat occurred, that is.

Also, that price for the tire is about right. Its not the size, so much that its an awkward size. I bet the price of an 18 or 20" equivalent is cheaper...

Welcome fellow Houstonite

Be sure to check out the Texas forum too. I think iceman is trying to get us to hit some car event on Saturday evening to meet up.

Thumbs up

Looks great! And glad to hear you can live with the run flats as they are source of contention with cars that come stock with them and owners who cannot deal with the added noise. Given the amount of nails my wife has a propensity to attract I will probably add run flats to ours as well.

Have 140,000 (mostly highway) miles. Got her 5-3-09. Not any problems. She has a forever home. Will get a paint job in future has some chips from highway travel. Plan to remove Nissan hamburgers at that time.

That's awesome. I'm at 48,000 and so far so good. When the oil's changed, I ask them to check the cleanliness of all the fluids and they always say they're good. So far...just oil changes and tires.

How do you have this much mileage and I've never seen you?
