Yes, my front bumper has paint chips and dimples from the screws holding his front plate. This happened at work, and he works in my building but I don't know who owns it. I work for a large company, so its impossible for me to know everyone, and we have security on staff, so they are trying to find out who owns it so they can talk to him. This occured yesterday, and our security left a note on his car but have yet to receive a response from the owner. A second note was left today. Both the security personel and I have taken pictures and documented the incident. Believe me, I am pissed, especially because I see his car outside my office and I want to beat the **** out of it and confront this F'er. But since this is where I work, I'm trying to keep it cool for now. I'm thinking of taking matters into my own hands and leave my own note with this picture on his windshield. And my last resort is to file a claim with my insurance tomorrow if our security fails to get in touch with the owner. As you can probably tell, I am quite frustrated...

This is the first thing you should have done. Tell them they struck your car, you took pictures, here's your phone number, call immediately before your insurance company does. I mean what the hell, parking guards have nothing to do with this.

This was my initial intent, but the security personnel I spoke to asked me to give them some time to talk to the owner about it.

I know exactly what you mean, but jeopardizing my job over a front bumper didn't seem worth it.

Believe me, today I was going to take matters into my own hands. I couldn't bare to sit at my desk while nothing was being done.

Haha! That would have been awesome, unfortunately it was a middle aged Indian man.

Anyway, this morning I spoke to the security guy and he informed me he had located the owner and he would speak to him. In the end he admitted it was his fault. We exchanged insurance info and he seemed like a nice person and was genuinely apologetic. I'm not sure why it took him this long to respond, but we made progress. But I won't be satisfied until I receive a check or a confirmation from his insurance company that they are going to pay for the repairs. I've had this happen to me in the past; where another guy admitted fault but later I found out he told his insurance company I hit him. With no pictures or witnesses it was his word against mine, and I ended paying for my own repairs.

Good work, someone idiot did something like that with my old Camaro, except it was an suv and the triler hitch was left depressing into the top front bumper. Thankfully the front to that Camaro is plastic like the rest of the car and little damage was done. I returned the favor with a nice key mark down the whole side of their car.
