Low Fuel Warning

Driving south from Bend Oregon, there isnt any fuel to be had till you get to Weed. Yah..ya heard me. Weed California is the first fuel for 3 hours...
So I got down to one dot, the display was "--", the wife was irate....things were bleak. Then the triangle popped up, I just knew I was pushin. But..made it to the Chevron and only took 17 gals to fill up. What the ?... I could have made it to Redding dammit... lol. This setup has lots of give...

just fill up at 1/4, why chance it..i see these dumb fux carrying a gas can walkin to get gas..I dont get it.

The fuel pump isn't lubed by the fuel. It's a sealed motor, that has an impeller on the end of the shaft. The fuel may help cool the motor some.
