Time to get some new ones and keep 'em separated (insert obligatory Offspring tune here).

Ouch! :D I suppose if you wash it well you're fine. I use a few oz of this stuff called Microfiber Cleaner by you know who during each wash. I use detergent + this stuff.

Keeps the towels plush. I hang dry only.

Hey guys thanks for the rear set up tip, probably go with toe in at 0.08 degrees to start with, it's at the far end of factory toe specs.

Am I ok with leaving the fronts at zero toe?

yah as long as your steering wheel is straight (or close enough) and your thrust angle is fine no need to change the front. :)

but your car will probably feel tighter if you give it 0.03 to 0.05 per side as well.

Red__Zed 05-29-2011 12:11 PM

Yes, no toe up front is how I run mine. Helps keep the turn in crisp.

Thanks for the input...and for the record, I just enjoy giving you shyte for the Griots references. Please continue to post the references/recommendations (sans the asterisks) because it's starting to wear me down to the point I'm ready to grab my wallet!

Meguiars love for my 370 today.
Battery charge and start for my 240 today.
Scratch repair on the Mrs.' Echo.
Cabin fire in the F-150.

daisuke149 05-29-2011 02:46 PM

I will admit, that while I'm really interested in using a random orbital, I'm also a little wary. How often do you do a machine polish? Once per year? How much time does it take you? 4-6 hours?

interval depends on how much swirls you have and how much you want to remove. :) typical hazing will only take a couple of hours to do as i would only use my one mild polish, but if you're doing deeper swirl removal chances are it will take an entire day cause you'd need to do 3-4 different polishes (steps).

it's a time consuming process but goes MUCH FASTER vs by hand.

EazyD 05-29-2011 09:23 PM

Got a ton of bug splats today after yesterday's wash n wax. Drove 150 miles. Yay Ultimate Quik Detailer. Also picked up some Rain-X wash and protect spray for glass. Any good?

kenchan 05-29-2011 09:26 PM

yes, Rain-X is great if applied correctly. spray into paper towel and spread onto clean glass to a haze. then take distilled water in a water bottle, mist and wipe off using glass MF towel.

i use rain-x as a cleaner sometimes to rid water spots/stains on my windshield from the sprinklers. :)

Thanks guys. She is a neurotic rescue dog who worships me (there truly is no accouting for taste) and loves to bark when she hears a camera go off.

Went outside hungover to install my test pipes. Took one look at the bolts you need to access thru the engine bay and decided I already had a big enough headache, went back inside.

good call. the demon bolts are bad enough without a hangover.

Dzel 05-30-2011 10:15 AM

Man I went to polish the Z< and I noticed that the dealership didn't take off all the residue glue from the plastic they put over the cars during transport. I've tried wd-40, car brite, wax, brushing and nothing is taking it out! FML

FYI I called the dealership told them I want it fixed.

quick solution to a hangover....drink lots of water or gatorade, it's shown that hangovers are caused by alcohol dehydrating your body. As for the demon bolts...well all i can say is good luck with those man

Also, take a couple aspirin along with your Gatorade to alleviate the aches and pains. Hangovers are all about dehydration.

Alchemy 05-30-2011 11:35 AM

Oh trust me I have had way more than my share of hangovers, I know how to deal w em lol.

I don't even drink but have had to babysit enough girls/friends to know the tricks. lol Hope you feel better, better enough to deal with the demon bolts!

I have my HFCs eyeballing me too. As soon as I get some hardware/gaskets in from Berk I'll be attempting it as well.
