I actually keep my Z below 25MPH at all times, track included. I just speed it up with editing software afterwards.

No, that is far too high-dollar of a mod for me. I just borrowed a drill and went to town.

happytheman 05-26-2011 10:39 PM

Washer mods are flat out baller!

Basically the same effect, and it is cheaper:tup:

It is not quite loud enough for me yet. I've been drilling holes all the way up past the cats though. Do you think it would be OK to drill holes in the engine block to make it louder?

Yeah, but does it bead up water droplets for all to Ogle?

I heard it makes the sound slightly deeper than the titanium washers, and way less rasp than the steel ones.

Red__Zed 05-26-2011 10:43 PM

Also, $1000 for a platinum washer is a pretty decent deal :rofl2:

Just buy one of those new fangled cat-back exhaustless systems!

happytheman 05-26-2011 10:47 PM

Ok, back on track...I DIDN'T drive my Z to Orlando for the Ed Kowalczyk (former lead singer of Live) show!:)

chops 05-26-2011 10:54 PM

gave her a nice rub down today. sooooooooooo cleaannn!

happytheman 05-26-2011 11:11 PM

Why is it that when you ask someone to repeat something that you did not hear the first time they do soat the exact same volume??:ugh2:

FromG2Z 05-26-2011 11:21 PM

Gave here a good ONR wash, then waxed her with CG 50/50. I also like this new wax. Easier to apply than Supernatural.

Afterwards, drove her with some buddies and their cars to dinner and some drinks. Car show was lame so we jetted...

kenchan 05-26-2011 11:25 PM

damn, lookin' good G2Z! your camera DEFINITELY shows the details especially in the reflection. the definition is so refined. :)

yah, some of these local autoshows/meets can be VERY lame... :ugh2:

Thanks Ken... reflections are great because of the camera AND the wax :icon18: (wet look). I have so many LSP's to choose from... I will never even get down to 1/2 of each container... lol. Sidenote, does my car need an INGS CF lip??? :)

So you dug into the D3000's yet? Pull the plug! you won't regret it. In fact, I might be shopping for a different lens range tomorrow. I have the day off!!! :tiphat:

And yes, car show was lame here. Not too many imports... mostly oldies and domestics. That doesn't do it for me.

kenchan 05-27-2011 06:37 AM

G2Z- the only LSP I use is *****'* SprayOn Wax. :D
I hid the manufacture's name since I don't get sponsorship from them. :D

The camera is going to take some time for me. I have to replenish my funds first and get the wing lip then camera.

As for the Ings on your car, id first get spacers for your wheels first. There's nothing wrong with how your car looks right now but the splitter emphasizes some aggressiveness so wheel stance is going to be important to balance the look. :)

Hope to pull out the Z this am as im off today. :D

Red__Zed 05-27-2011 08:23 AM

Must be nice.

Econ 05-27-2011 08:56 AM

ordered spacers (should be here tomorrow), bought new wax/detailer, and another ark exhaust.

Just got my CNT resonated test pipes in the mail & spoke to my wheel vendor. My Forgestars are gettin powdercoated and should be ready to ship next week!

chops 05-27-2011 12:56 PM

i dont think ive ever done this, but i washed the car last night, pulled her back into the garage, then this morning QD'd her before heading out for work :rofl2:

I'd actually want to run a polarizing filter to prevent those reflections...that is just me though.

shadoquad 05-27-2011 01:28 PM

Drove her to work today. Need to wash her badly tomorrow. Figured out how soon I could pay her off last night :D

found the article that talks about the little flap forward of the front tires.

like i mentioned it's for aerodynamics (reduce drag for fuel economy i guess) but at the same time it can also create lift. removing it would make more sense if you're installing a splitter as splitters create downforce... and will look better too. :p

Received my used Berk CBE from UPS today. Everything looks to be there and in great shape despite the box being torn open upon delivery.

Hoping to install this at work tonight. Wanted to do the Berk HFCs as well but I'm waiting on gaskets and bolts from Berk.

I work for an EMS service. We have 5 50ton lifts. One happens to fit my car.. I'm hoping one of the mechanics gives me a hand though.

Fatalsports 05-27-2011 03:46 PM

Just got back from a almost 500 mile road trip. The car did great. Got about 22MPG with mostly highway driving.

Not bad considering I was in the boost quite a bit.

Alchemy 05-27-2011 05:21 PM

Congrats Fatal, looks great!
