Sorry for yor usb issue. I cannot say that I know how to help. I'm a tech neanderthal. I like my satalite radio but don't own an i-pod, or any other music download device. I just posted in the audio/vid section. I would like to put a nav and rear view camera screen in there. Don't even know if anybody makes such a thing that isn't a radio/cd/satalite touch screen combo. I want simple. LOL

pedZ 07-30-2011 12:17 PM

I wrapped the b-pillars in DI-NOC today. It was much easier to do than I thought it would be.

Nitex -- the Z looks OK but your breakfast looks absolutely phenomenal.

happytheman 07-30-2011 03:03 PM

Nitex - Those pics look phantastic and that breakfast is making me hungry even though I just ate! Is that a large biscuit and gravy?

So I am back home, after helping a buddy out with buffing his C6 hood. We did Menz PO203 and PO106 via Flex orange and gray pads. Then PC for CG EZ Creme (blue pad) and Jetseal 109 (red pad). All this after staying up till midnight last night applying Jetseal to my Z.... whooo I am tired :(

Then when I got home today, I finished applying CG 50/50 on Zena. Figured I'd take a break from Supernatural.

Btw, here I am at 6 am this morning applying EZ creme, post paint correction already.

I wasn't able to bring my DSLR, so no nice pics of the Vette. This is just a crappy cell phone pic :( sorry. We have a meet later and tomorrow that I'll take nicer shots of the whole corrected C6.... it looks stunning in that wine color.

Oh, come on... I will buy your coffee... and even a blueberry muffin. :) My family is from Iowa so I may be out that way some time. Haven't been in a long time.

Was a great drive! I really needed this. :p QD'ed afterwards and cleaned the inside glass too. :)

Looking forward to your shots! I could use a drive too. Took the Xterra out this morning and went kayaking with the wife and the dog.

Pedelg, nice pillars... just like mine!!!

So at lunch, I finally got a chance to kenchan my Z to meet a few folks... I took a few pics there, but then took more at a local park and made friends with some geese... :ugh2: 'tis ok as long as they don't doodoo on my ride, I will let them live... hehe.

Here's some shots to prove to Ken that I still have my DSLR :D

Thanks Beach... your edit on Nitex's shot looks awesome. What did you do and how did you do it???

Nitex 07-30-2011 05:35 PM

^^ yes, ty beach! Looks great. One thing im noticing was over-bright metering and exposure in most shots. Im going to try to find a filter before i move on to another full on DSLR. Its nice have such a small camera but price is right there for something like a T2i/T3i.

I do have control over this with PASM modes on the NEX 5.. I guess i just need to keep tweaking it.

Alchemy 07-30-2011 05:49 PM

I like the panoramic shots Nitex. G2Z nice shots too, looking squeaky clean!!! Nice gauges too Spohn! Im in a great mood, its been a great day. +1 to all!

thanks Fire... yah no problem, i ordered a lexar 8GB USB drive for cheap so i should have that all fixed by next Tues. :p i found a 1GB drive im not currently using so i put that in my G and borrowed the G's USB drive to use on the Z. :p

you might be interested in getting a doubledin HU and just swap the entire thing; that'll give you nav, CD/DVD, USB drive playability, sat radio, rear view camera, etc. :) personally i dont really use nav so i just got a cheepo garmin and modshack-mounted bracket. with this i can mount either my droidx's or the nuvi as it's using the same universal mounting ball joint. :p

i was just doing practice shots today in raw + fine jpeg format. i wanted to compare how much more control i would have on the editor's side in extreme lighting.

i found out that there's really no magic to raw. if the exposure is f-ked up it's just as bad as doing jpg editing using levels, saturation, and some sharpening, brightness recovery. honestly my goal is to hit the shot right from the camera and do very minimal editing so im going to just use jpeg-normal format for now. it's good enough for me. :)

Hmmm, its very possible that I broke 25,000 today. I know I was close. Gotta check tomorrow.

Had a nice little run up the river today. Great, tight sections with crests and dips, very fun:) Will probably wash tomorrow and take her on another jaunt/photoshoot. Love my Z.

Yup wind deflector From. First pic is the deflector(yes it's covered in fingerprints in th pic) and second pic shows where it is(it was taken before the sticker was put on). It's a vert thing:ughdance: I'm not getting my windows done cause they are onlyup when the car isn't being driven or that very short time that it is in the rain.

Fire 07-30-2011 10:03 PM

aven't broke 3000 yet.:tiphat:

PS--they were a great combo for the Zcon track day recently.

98intrigue 07-31-2011 12:00 AM

Today, i changed my oil for the first time since doing the turbo kit. I also removed my left rear add on and diffuser since the 3M tape was starting to not work. It took me 2 hours just to get the 3M tape off my diffuser :( Tomorrow, I'll mount them. The tape is already laid on the pieces and the bumper has been prepped...just need to mount and let it sit in the sun for the day.

I tried getting an exhaust clip for you guys today, but cold start = alot of rasp :( will be adding a resonator. Once it warms up though, no rasp and it's deep and just purs :)

Waiz 07-31-2011 12:31 AM

Got the front windows tinted again after getting a ticket a few weeks back. I opted for a shade lighter than the rear windows although this pic is a tad hard to tell:

FromG2Z 07-31-2011 12:55 AM

Thanks for the props guys.

Fire, that wind deflector looks good. Is that oem?

98, thanks! Also that exhaust build of yours will be stellar. I need to hear that!

Waizz, I plan on re tinting mine as well....soon.

So what did I do today with Zena? Well, other than my busy morning with her, I took the wife downtown and enjoyed our drive immensely. We had sushi at the #1 rated restaurant on trip advisor. It was delish indeed. Then took her to see cowboys and aliens, fun movie. Both dinner and movie I lucked out and found a spot up front ;)

Btw, am really loving that clear bra. Highway jaunts with bugs just come right off with some detail spray. No chips either. Single best mod......ever.

Fire 07-31-2011 01:08 AM

From the deflector is a factory unit. I did add the modded sticker. :ughdance: I noticed that in the pic is the rear of my 2004 Mitsu Eclipse. The two bright orange circles are part of the tail lights. Still need to get the title notorized to title it.:shakes head:
