I attempted to wire my turbo timer and failed again.

Going to clear the dead bugs off the front end then run it up "Fast Eddie's" for a wash. Put it back in the garage and do a little detail work on it. Anyone recommend a good product for polishing the wheels?

happytheman 06-11-2011 02:03 PM

Finished waxing her sexy bits and gave her wheels a QD.

"Fast Eddie's" just sounds like it would be a horrific idea.

Be careful with wheel polishes. You should treat your wheels like you would your paint in consideration of the clear coat that's on them.

Tried to installed the EVO-R rear valance but won't fit because of the F.I. Exhaust tip distance to the bumper.

I guess I will need to do some type of shimming or some type of "jerry rig".

Why not adjust the exhaust?

98intrigue 06-11-2011 02:19 PM

I washed it at 7am and went to a get together at the local Ferrari dealer. I'm going to a Tsunami benefit car show tonight at USF.

That what I said I will have to shim the bolts that attach the bracket to the frame where the rubber bump attaches to the hanger to bring the tips down on both sides and maybe I will need some longer bolts also.

Right now I have about 1/8 to 3/8 between the tips and the bumper. I don't know why that bracket was made so short that the tips almost touch the bumper....

However so other member had posted that they haven't had a problem...

:shakes head: :shakes head:

Wash, dry, 100MPH as a passanger, car feels much faster that way????

Installed my Berk HFCs today. Goddamn that Demon bolt was bad!!!

For any of you who need help with it, here's a tip. Go to Sears and get a 20" and a 10" 1/2" socket extension. With the 1/2" extensions you won't lose as much torque when you're wrenching on them. Once we had the right tools it was simple.

Car feels a bit more powerful and is much louder when combined with the Berk CBE I have installed.

I am FINALLY installing my stainless brakelines and replacing/flushing my brake fluid tomorrow. I am a major league procrastinator. Every weekend I begin with high expectaions of projects to complete. Not all get done due to having to spend time recuperating from the previous 5 days of my clients, colleagues and boss draining me of my will to live and self-esteem.

Thanks, I have some pictures of the install process that might help some others. It was a pain in the *** but surely worth it. Now I'm just wondering how "legal" having HFCs are in Texas... (shrug)

I think the only state in which they are illegal is CA.

Good luck with the install!

I too got notified on Friday that one of my bigger accounts I made may go down the drain due to major f-kups my team did down in Japan and China. Over 1500 jobs and tens of millions of $ at stake. But I look at my Z and think too bad for them cause it wont really affect me cause I will just start something new and keep motoring like nothing happened. :D

To put the rear valance is no rocket science, and plenty of member here has them installed.

The thing is to install something so easy I will have to go thru all this BS with the exhaust just because they could not make the hanger that attaches to the rubber bump at least 3/8" longer. :shakes head:

Did a cabin filter install today with the dyi forum instructions.

After about 9 weeks my Forgestar F14's finally shipped!

onzedge 06-12-2011 10:40 PM

I actually got around to my stainless steel brake line installation (thanks to my sons for great help). Sorry for the surface rust on the rotor -- I washed the car first (I think I did these in the wrong order). Oh well.

I also cleaned and lightly reoiled the K&N's from my Stillen intake.

I thought about washing my car and scrubbing all of the bugs off.

As soon as I gathered all of my cleaning supplies, it started to rain.

Oh well.
