Looks great, Ken! Your garage is amazing!

nynhex 05-21-2011 01:52 PM

Installed parking light leds, working on reverse, gave up on HIDs for today.

Nismo89 05-21-2011 02:10 PM

Beautiful garage Ken!

You're such a Griot's whore...and I mean that in the nicest way!:icon17:

Talk to me a little bit about your polishing machine you've got there. I'm guessing it's a random orbital. How much experience did you have using a polishing with such instruments prior to getting that one? I've been thinking about getting a PC, but have no experience one way or the other.

Wash and wax

Baer383 05-21-2011 02:19 PM

Took out my Kenwood 10in sub and replaced it with a JL tw5 13.5 and a 1000 watt alpine amp.

happytheman 05-21-2011 02:27 PM

Thinking about getting the Mighty 500 Watt Vacuum & Blower

It sucks AND blows....seemingly the best of both worlds, right?
http://s7d4.scene7.com/is/image/Grio...90413?$detail$

I wonder how noisy it is in comparison to a leaf blower??

Hahaha yah I've had the 3" random orbital for some time. I also use their 6" for doing my cars. PC has good stuff and more for pro's. Griots one is more for the weekend detailer but can do pretty much the pro stuff. The biggest difference is Griots one has a lot simpler system with the pads and polish selection. :)

Yeah, I use a PC and Flex, along with a caseful of different LC pads and all menzerna polishes... Ken, you gotta step up to the big boys!!! ;) I kid I kid. I am sure you are better at using your polishers than I am with mine ;)

Seriously though, I was looking to get the 3" griots for a while now. For now, I just switch between 3, 4.5, and 5.5" backing plates and pads... it gets me in those corners.

Nice work on the lip Ken!!! Nice and shiney!

LunaZ 05-21-2011 04:23 PM

Got haircolour on the door armrest.
Somehow left the salon with a dot of colour on my forearm and the rest is history.

Waiz 05-21-2011 04:48 PM

Picked up a set of these today

Sorry, I'll take pics when it's dark tonight. The reverse lights are kicking my ***. I need to figure out how to get the interior out and remove the taillight. I've already broken one of those push tab things.

Good job! Maybe it's a sign from Nissan telling you not to dye your hair?

Interesante...

onzedge 05-21-2011 05:43 PM

Kenchan -- nice looking lip and an amazingly clean garage. I feel ashamed.

RandyD 05-21-2011 05:47 PM

gave her a good bath, wax, cleaned the break dust off the wheels, super wet shine on the tires, windex... looking shiny

LunaZ 05-21-2011 06:21 PM

Got the haircolour off the armrest.
De-pollenated her with the California Car duster and put the cover back on.
I'll be shuttling models around tomorrow, so it'll be the wife's Benzo for people and gear hauling duties.

Where are you from? Your location shows PA, but I'm thinking you were transplanted. :icon17:

Born in England, moved around a lot growing up and now PA is my home base... or the place where I keep my crap between road trips and flyaways.
I didn't live in England long enough to develop a funny accent, but the fact that the company I work for is based in London means frequent trips across the pond which results in me adopting certain spellings and phrases.

Thanks. The lip turned out goood. Im real happy with it. Took off the stock front under spoliers for a nice clean finish. I have my jack under there pressing up the lip to ensure proper adhesion of the mounting tape. Will leave it like that over night.

Got my hood damper set this pm from kellyefields. will take a look tomorrow. :)

That CF lip looks so good Ken! I think your efforts were well worth it!

happytheman 05-21-2011 09:32 PM

Went to the convenience store to pick up my lottery tix in my Z.

Saw the most amazing thing on the way out: you know those thingies with the sponge on one side, squeegee on the other that are used for cleaning bug and bird detritus off your windshield? This lady was scraping the squeegee thingie across the ROOF of her Accord! WTH????:ugh2::wtf2:

chops 05-21-2011 10:13 PM

ewwww kenchan...front license plate :barf: ;)

anywho...i installed my 15mm spacers with 60mm nismo lugs! (excuse the dirty car..got caught in a drizzle the other day ) rear is pretty much perfectly flush. however the front could go for another 5mm or so, but i forsee lots of rubbing if i went bigger in the front. all in all im thoroughly satisfied and it didnt take that long to do with an impact wrench either!

Yikes! :D. Even on glass I don't use that thing.

So opened up the hood damper kit and cleaned up the brackets so the edges are perfectly straight, corners are perfectly 90 degrees. :p. Will hit it with some primer and spray it matte black. :)

After taking this pict I noticed the bracket was not sitting perfectly flat so put it in my vice and bent it to shape with my pliers.

Mt Tam I am 05-22-2011 09:23 AM

Got up at 6 AM and was on the road at 6:07. I left my brewed tea at work and discovered I'd run out at home. Few are up at that hour so a new speed record was set. The two cars on the road both pulled over to let me by. I am off to a great Sunday and it's still early.:happydance:
