Wat happened? Wrong thread pitch?

onzedge 04-23-2011 09:10 PM

I have not done this to my Z yet. Anyone know where I can get a lift kit like this for the 370?

 :icon18:

LunaZ 04-23-2011 09:18 PM

Drove it. On the "right" side of the road.

SmoothZ 04-23-2011 09:23 PM

Today, I installed slotted rotors up front and just replaced the rear pads. Took it out for a drive for the first time since last October. Man, it feels good.

Jack370Z 04-23-2011 09:54 PM

I scraped the driver's side rocker panel AGAIN! I can't believe it.

Fire 04-23-2011 10:31 PM

Onze just leave your car unattended and the local chop shop will do it for free. What was that guy thinking?:roflpuke2: You would think he was from Georgia or something. Or that he needed some ground clearence like here in NY. The potholes are monsters this year. I have to be extremely cautious and only take my Z on roads that I have driven on recently. My splitter will let me know if I screw up.

kenchan 04-24-2011 06:58 AM

Onzedge- lol, ck with billybob, the asian paint hater from the other thread. :D ;)

Good idea.

LunaZ 04-24-2011 09:45 AM

Washed it even though it's supposed to rain again today.
The black trails running down from the mirrors and door handles were more than I could stand.

kenchan 04-24-2011 10:27 AM

Luna- have u tried waterless washes? I know wat u mean win the black trails. I use Griots SprayOn CarWash and spot clean if the car is generally clean. 5min and walla. Then getting car dirty again is less painful. :D

kenchan 04-24-2011 10:28 AM

Motored my Z again this am and gave her a nice QD wipe down afterwards. Looks great. Was a fun drive too. :p

ZForce 04-24-2011 11:54 AM

Drove it to a local shop's BBQ/Meet yesterday. Driving into Sacremento today to see the broadway play Young Frankenstein.

Too gritty for any sort of quick detailer or "in-between wash" techniques. It's been weeks since she's had a bath, and that includes a run up the mountains in coal country.
I soaped her up and wiped her down with a mitt, used one of those spot-free rinses and called it a day. Nothing fancy today.

kenchan 04-24-2011 03:43 PM

Luna that sounds nasty. :D

BeachZTT 04-24-2011 05:56 PM

Sadly, not a damn thing. But I did give the XTerra a little love. First good bath since last fall.

kenchan 04-24-2011 06:32 PM

Trips 04-24-2011 06:40 PM

After washing it yesterday, I sat in my living watching it rain today :crying:

lol, I hate when that happens...

FromG2Z 04-24-2011 11:15 PM

Drove her 3 times today. Went to the drug store for some errands, I come out, and I see 2 ladies (in their 30's?) hovering around my car and trying to figure out what it is. They see me coming out, they stop and smile and scurry back to their cars.

I've never had that happen to me... even in my RX7.

Anyways, I continued on to enjoy some driving, then stopped downtown for a nice photoshoot which I posted here on this forum.

onzedge 04-25-2011 10:10 AM

Yesterday, she got a wash and then I applied a coat of Meguiars Ultimate wax to check it out. My first impression is that it is the easiest wax I have ever used and it looks very shiny. Unfortunately I awoke to rain today so she is sitting under her cover in my garage.

kenchan 04-25-2011 10:20 AM

onzedge - so is that like an upgraded version of NXT TechWaxII? :)

NXT is a super easy polymer for sure. great results too. i use an even easier product for polymer... Prima Hydro. just spray while you wipedown your car. lasts 3-4wks and can use on glass and all plastics. even if you accidentally get it on rubber bits no issue.

phil over at www.detailesrdomain.com has them. i buy by the gallon. :p

Installed JDM rear fog light and the Z Sports horn. Thanks to Jomer (FB NIssan) and Scott (NissanRaceShop.com/Fontana Nissan).

kenchan 04-25-2011 10:49 AM

jgvill- how does the sport horn sound vs the stock horn? :)

I use NXT and thought it was easiest. Ultimate is better. It is more expensive too.

cool. better as far as shine or durability? i use Griot's PaintSealant on my dd and that thing has got like this incredible super shine like Zaino... even on my white car it shines. i tried it on my black car i thought the car dissappeared as it was so super reflective. :icon17:

thanks, i'll check this out during lunch. i have air horns in my G35C and they sound great, but with the separate compressor it takes a split second before sound comes out... which means when i lock the doors i dont get the quick chirp. i just hear the relay click. :D does yours actually chirp? :)

It chirps but I turned it off and just have the flashing orange whe I lock the car. Had to take the entire front off but it was worth it! You can get the sport horns from Scott at Fontana Nissan. Cheapest I found and very fast shipping.

Well you pretty much have the same weather as Vancouver, BC right?

I love Vancouver...but that rain would depress me lol, not to mention all the car washing

Yes very similar to Vancouver BC! Not that its the only reason, but the rain was a major decision factor when it came to color choices. Even though i bought her in TX i somehow new i would be back :icon17:
