Gave my Z a nice sponge bath today!

Red__Zed 04-25-2011 09:46 PM

Went on a pretty fun cruise with a modded WRX and a couple other guys. Wound up with 6-7 cars by the end of the run.

I wasn't being literal. I didn't actually give it a "sponge" bath...although I wouldn't mind receiving one...but that kinda goes without saying, right?? :p

Cleaned the inside.

Vacuum, Shampood the carpets, Megiuars Leather treatment for the seats, finally put the V-LED bulb I had left over in the hatch (so much better)

I realized I really like detailing my car, or any car for that matter, really calming...and I can spend hours doing it

How is the Meguiar's Leather treatment? I haven't used anything as of yet, considering I've only had my Z for a month.

I find it really good, not overly greasy, seeps in rather quickly, adds lustre. The wipes are great.

I also use the Meguiars Gold Class Car wash/shampoo, its excellent.

leather treatment i can't recommend this product enough!

Griot's LeatherCare Spray. awesome. smells great. it's like a QD for leather. dries matte. you can't mess this up. :p

just get the small 8oz one and spray into your utility MF towel and wipe your seats and shift boot, etc. :)

I believe Griots is online order only.

kenchan 04-26-2011 10:52 AM

yah, i think so too. if you have a tirerack near by i think they sell them in their show room.

griot's have a free-shipping special going on until 7/4... so i took advantage of that a few weeks ago. :p

hey I recognize those tips!!! the SS version of mine ;)

btw, my buddy who bought his Invidia CBE with Ti tips for his STi, his tips are welded on and non adjustable. I thought adjustable tips were a staple of invidia... guess not.

kenchan 04-27-2011 03:54 PM

FromG2Z is that for theft deterrent? :) would suck if people started stealing just the tips.

Thanks a bunch for the idea... now you just gave some folks an idea :ugh2:
