Yes sir. :tiphat:

Are you going with the zspeed csc also?

I know a clutch will be in my future but I'm gonna use the stock one for as long as possible.

I already got it! PM Jnaut...he sells them now.

Since the motor will be out of the car, I want to do it right the first time. Changing the clutch is NOT fun! Mine went bad after 2k miles of boost on my G35. I took me 6hrs to do my own clutch.

chops 04-27-2011 11:21 PM

aligned it at sonic motorsports. it baaaarely cleared their alignment ramp. even with a special ramp setup i had maybe 0.5" of clearance on the front bumper/sideskirts.

camber before/after:
front: -1.7/-1.6
rear: -2.9/-2.6

toe before/after:
front: -0.3 and 0.13 / 0.8 and 0.8
rear: 0.32 and 0.15 / 0.16 and 0.16

wowzas...my coil self install left me with some messssed up toe!

I had an awesome 5 mile up hill run run without interference, and no VDC yesterday. I love the Z. Downhill was stuck behind the dreaded Prius.

I think that was GT Motoring or something.. different than the GTM with the FI kits.

The first part sounds like fun -- especailly in those hills.

kenchan 04-28-2011 11:18 AM

chops- you have front camber adjustment? anyway, the toe looks a lot better. i bet your car feels nimble and accurate now. :D actually that toe is pretty aggressive in the front. :)

LiquidG- oh ok, thanks. yah, been looking for a 4.5" to 5" toe hook to decorate my car but most of them are kinda too long.

indeed! but that downhill behind a prius. man the tolerance we need to have with idiots. :icon17:

nope, no front camber adjustment, likely just an error on the machines part or something. i will say though, that the ride home felt significantly different with the toe fixed. prior to the alignment my car would wander quite erratically.

you guys think i should get front/rear camber kits? or will negative 1.6-1.7 front and -2.5 rear not affect tire wear tooo badly? if im only losing a small percentage of tire wear, i'll let it go

kenchan 04-28-2011 12:46 PM

imho your camber is fine.

heh...in that case, time to order some spacers :icon18:

anyone else think -2.5 camber in the rear is going to wreck my rear tires??

kenchan 04-28-2011 03:34 PM

im running -2.6 rear on my G35C since 7yrs ago. toe set a 0.15 each side almost like yours. wearing pretty flat on my car. :p

i have stilling camber rods but after tweaking with the suspension the G needs good amount of camber and toe-in in the back if i want to do any type of sprirted driving. car steps-out mid turn when i apply trottle.

kenchan 04-28-2011 03:55 PM

forgot to mention... my craftssquare mirrors are now on its way to me thanks to my pops. :p going to pay him in yen next time i visit so i dont get raped by the exchange rate. lol. the people at craftssquare are real nice and professional.

if im lucky i should have them in my hands on Sat and shall install them the moment they arrive. :D

ehh parked outside and really haven't done a full detail yet.. covering a car that isn't super clean is a no no, and the next day I drive it, it will be pollen ridden once again

no joke. even though my car is garaged, it gets covered in pollen. once that garage door opens up, all hell breaks loose!

kenchan 04-29-2011 02:08 PM

drove my G to work and it's partially covered in pollen. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/imag.../sadbanana.gif <= remember this Red_Zed? :D

but did motor her for a little bit during lunch. :p i'll be doing some QD'ing tonight.

as for the Z, only got a little glimpse this am while backing out my G for work...she was looking mighty fine. :yum:
going to see if i can sandwich a 5mm between the weds and the hub with enough turns on the titeks. hoping for 7 rotations... if not, bought some longer studs from flashburn so i'll be installing that later on. :p

Is "motor" perhaps short for motorboat and by "her" perhaps NOT you G35?:icon17:

370z Turbo Build - a set on Flickr

If there was an easy way to upload pics from my phone, I would. The fabricator, JUST today, mounted the turbo, fitted the downpipe, and mounted the intercooler :)

Jjaden 04-29-2011 09:10 PM

Today I bought Sibze's F.I. Carbon Fiber Catback Exhaust and had it installed at the shop. Holy crap what an difference. The sound is an awesome deep growl and my butt dyno definitely registered an improvement in power.

It was a great day for the Z.

FromG2Z 04-29-2011 10:18 PM

Took the wife on a nice date out in the Z. Nothing like taking both my ladies out.... ;)

90 ST 04-29-2011 10:35 PM

Picked up my fixed wheel, pics to follow, as well i finally got my G3 CAI, putting it on sunday.

happytheman 04-30-2011 07:33 AM

At the dealership getting its first oil change since I took ownership. Watching it on the lift at this very moment.

Got a Z license plate holder while I was at it...but "sorry, we don't have any GTR start buttons in stock".
