Parked her all the way to one side of the garage.

Folded the mirrors in.

Made a sad face as I walked into the house. :(

I'll be removing the battery and finishing up the winter storage next week. I tried to wait as long as possible to put her away but temps below 50, bald tires and 475 WHP make for a bad combo.

Now the long wait for spring begins.......

Another joy of mid-west living, I guess. She'll be comfy for the winter.

I couldn't handle putting away the Z for winter. I know it's the best thing to do to avoid rust and whatnot but I just couldn't. Thankfully I moved from NY to FL back in 2004

Couple of pics after washing and waxing my car, only thirty minutes passed and it was already getting dusty :(

Very nice pics, Mr. Skeeterbop. Dust is the bane of my existence (well, one of many actually).

The California car duster I have is like therapy for me. You know when you are extremly thirsty and take that first big swig of cool water -- that is the car duster for me. It's like seeing your headlights illuminate your home after a 12 hour drive -- that is how the car duster makes you feel after you use it. Seeing your woman's smiling face at the bottom of the escalator at the airport after a 2 week trip -- that is the car duster.

They are worth it.

Happy if you do this I would paint the center as well. If you wanna know what I looks like for real and havent seen it yet look here-

Yup. Pretty much.

Every year around this time I start to dream about moving south. I can live pretty much anywhere in the country with my current job but I am looking to make a change. Still have to wait a few years before we seriouly consider a move. I guess I'll just have to dream about spring.

kenchan 11-23-2011 07:19 PM

Happy - I'd leave it stock. :)

Instead of spending a few hundred bucks on that paint job (unless of course you DIY), I would say sell yours for a grand and use that few hundred on top to buy after market rims. Excellent edit BTW

But the more I look, I think you may be onto something there. Maybe if you do the entire center except for the cap. That combined with the lugs being chrome may look good.

Yah, I think it would be moreso in my best interest to leave the stock wheels alone and invest in a new set of wheels.

Thanks for your input guys!

Happy Thanksgiving to my online family! You guys are the best!

TheGreatOne 11-24-2011 11:23 AM

Snowed yesterday so was in the garage all day.

Streets were good today and I need to get to Muay Thai after work, so took her out. When cars are nasty and dirty and you roll out in a shiney Z, the attention is bigger than normal....so pleasant drive to work lol.

Happy Thanksgiving Americans! I work with the US mainly so my day has been slack...so thanks again...probably leaving early lol :D :tiphat:

wife's going a whole chicken today and i will do the mash potatoes and corn, mixing gravy and stuff. no sushi.. :D actually already had sushi and other otsumami last night. :yum: been a week of good eating. started the week with charburgers and cheeze fries and chili. :yum: even my Z got a full tank of gas twice this week.

washed and detailed the Z today after motoring. :D was a good finale drive of the season. will pressure up her shoes and place her on flatstoppers tomorrow. and will let her dry another couple of days in the garage before putting her car cover on. :)

onzedge 11-24-2011 11:40 AM

Happy "Mr. Pig sacrificed his life for us to enjoy eating day", Mr. Kenchan!!! :hello:

I had the day off yesterday and farted around instead of mowing and detailing. Today, it is raining. Go figure. It is hard to keep Mom and Dad out of trouble when we are locked inside the house. :icon17:

Actually, the stuff is pretty easy to work with. I would advise taking trim pieces off though. I didn't for the install, but will probably when I re-do it. For the piece of fascia I covered, I made a template from a dash kit I had ordered.

Do you have a nav system? If so, I can cut out a template for you.

Scroll down to post 306 on this thread for a great DIY on the window switch plates:

Gurney, forgot to thank you for this offer! I don't have the factory nav, otherwise I'd take you up on it!

Is that so?? I havent heard much about it. Been trying to do some last min research. Jeez for $189 I could afford to buy a couple:rofl2: But I think Im gonna bail on the purchase. If I got the lip Id need side skirts too. All said and done it would just be 5-600 bucks I could have spent on other, more important parts.

I love the Ings. I just cant justify $500 or whatever it is for a lip Im gonna scrape up. The Stillen would have been a cheap alternative.
