Plastidip doesnt work like normal paint and it makes it damn near impossible to spray something masked off and pull it off with perfect edges. Maybe try one area at a time and pull the tape off while its still wet, have to be quick and accurate though. Another option would be to use the least stickiest tape possible, painters blue tape comes to mind but it might have to be less than that.

Great info! I was able to do the emblems and my stock rims (to see how the car will look before i spend big $$ on the blacking out the rims)!

it doesn't matter what the tape is or how sticky it is.. the issue is the plastidip creating coats across the tape and onto the part that you are painting

I will try to do a lil better when it stops raining here!

It is actually kinda tricky to know where to draw the line between spoke and rim since every thing is so neatly blended in.

I used the electrical tape cuz I have found that it doesn't like to "really" stick to blue painters tape all that well and it is more flexible than blue painter tape.

Cool what you did and I respect it fully, I just can't stand chrome lipped black wheels!! My fave is definitely double spoked gun metal. Like 5+ spokes but the spokes are double spoked.
