Thanks. It was a look out deck with one guy up there supervising the event and he just happened to be nice enough to let me climb up there with the DSLR for a couple snaps.

No spacers yet. None of felt like car work Sunday due to the stupid Chargers/Packers game -- so we are going for it Thursday night. As you know, the fronts are a little more involved due to caliper removal and stud replacement.

ahhhh, i see. yah, it is considerably more work for the stud replacement type indeed.

i was thinking if i ever decide to just use the stock wheels i would just trim down the factory studs and use the bolt-on type permanently (i have several sets in my garage not in use). this way i can still use the donut without having to have to remove the bolt-on spacers during a flat. :D hahaha.

Ordered my H&R TRAK+ (DRS) spacers - 15mm front and 20mm rear - from Stillen. Thanks to everyone (a cast of housands?) who have posted on the various threads over the past two years; very informative.

Got the ball rolling on changing to a Nismo nose ala tjlaser's. Looks like it is completely doable and probably within my budget. Will be meeting with the body shop on Friday to get some hard numbers. May have this done by month's-end.

Beware of frozen bolts when removing the front studs, I had a similar bolt (not stud) I believe it was the tie rod funky looking bolt that was frozen and had to be cut off. Luckily Infiniti dealership had the bolt. PITA

Did you go with H&R in the front?

Glad to have contributed. I toyed with the idea of 15/20mm along time when some of the first members went with spacers and everyone thought the 15/20 looked good......until I did it with 20/25. No comparison, the 25mm out back look like something is happening....then again like I have always said when it comes to spacers and wheel flush, everyone has their own view as to what is considered flush. I am sure you will be happy with your setup, too bad you were not in the market around Jan when I was selling off all the extras I purchased thru Josh/Stillen. My original plan was to try different combo's 15/20 or 20/20 or 20/25. Went with a recommendation of a friend and went full bore right out of the gate with 20/25mm.

Post up some pics when you get a chance and on the other spacer threads, because pics here get lost within a few hours. :tiphat:

nice... it's going to snow shower today here. :icon14: in a titan you'll be looking for a repair shop every block too. :icon17:

Fire 11-09-2011 01:37 PM

Ken Ken Ken what are we going to do with you LOL. Actually I haven't spent alot on repairs for my Titan. Spent a crapload in gas though. I was thinking of starting a thread. "What kind of milage do you get with you daily driver?" But think I'l just get depressed. I do like the great driving I get in the winter with my Titan. I have BF Goodrich KO's. Not only do they look kewl they get awesome traction. BTW I did get an hour of driving some twisty back roads with the Z. :driving: Probably the last until March or April if our weather is like it usually is.:shakes head: Hey I do get to look forward to skiing.:tiphat: I live just 45 minutes friom a ski resort.:ughdance:

kenchan 11-09-2011 01:45 PM

fire- lol. :icon17: i was just interested in seeing your reaction. hahaha. i dont know titans all that well, they look nice though and i just read it had lots of problems right after launch.

as for mpg on my dd. i get 15-16mpg on my G (actual from calculating miles vs gallons x3), all surface roads and spontaneous sprints at times. :D

christian370z 11-09-2011 10:06 PM

Well, today was certainly an interesting day. I got a call from some random number so I just ignored it. Then they called again so I answered it and it was a lady from the sales department at the Nissan dealer I bought the car from. She asked if I was thinking about selling the car any time soon and I obviously said no.

She replied that they would like to buy the car back since they had a client that was looking for my exact model, especially since their service records say that the car is low mileage and immaculate. At this point, I was thinking I would entertain this whole deal just to see what they would offer for the car. I also told her that the car is modified and she said that the client is even more interested, although I would remove the HFCs, exhaust, G3 intakes, sway bars and the interior CF pieces.

So I don't know, I'm just curious as to how much they offer. I also don't even know what I'd replace the Z with for 30k or less that is faster, just as much fun to drive and look at, but could be a bit more practical.
